Re: FA Cup draw
I was sweating and get further underneath my cushion as the draw went on. I was in such a state. Don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to play them. I don’t want to play them for at least another 30 years.
Re: FA Cup draw
Oddly enough Rovers was probably our best hope of getting through to the 4th round. Peterborough is the most inevitable-cup-knockout-under-Dyche game we could have drawn. League One side playing well, sandwiched between an important winnable game against Villa and a glamour tie at Stamford Bridge. If it were not for the 3rd round being played around the Christmas/New Year buzz we'd draw less than 7k for this one.

Sean will soon have us out to concentrate on staying in the premier league.. Very astute manager, knows where his bread and butter lies and it's not with a long cup run.

Re: FA Cup draw
I'd happily sack off the league cup but considering we're winning and losing at a predictable rate you'd think by Christmas/New year we'd be in a decent enough position to have a real go at the FA cup. This is a game we should never lose in a month of Sundays, but come on, we're all thinking it...
Re: FA Cup draw
Don’t expect we will get far in this. Quite fancy Peterborough to win. However it might be a chance for the players to string some passes together, retain the ball and venture into the oppositions half.

We are 5 points off 5th place, but only 4 points above Everton in 18th.

Re: FA Cup draw
Similar draw as Barnsley at home last year and we laboured to victory in that tie,any smart cookies could make money on a Peterborough win,i certainly can envisage several changes to our regular line-up that's for sure.

Ivan Toney was mentioned recently as worth a look. Here is his goal from the last round. Screamer.

Re: FA Cup draw
We've got Newcastle, Bournemouth, Everton and Villa to play before Peterborough, all winnable. Norwich, Watford & Southampton all look hopeless, Bournemouth are screwed if Howe goes to Everton. This season is looking far more comfortable for us than last.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 10:50 pmWe are 5 points off 5th place, but only 4 points above Everton in 18th.

Or even a short cup run.
