Please Mr pstotto, let us know what you mean. Are you making a point? If so, what's the point of making a point if no-one knows what point you are making.
Or is it just pointless?

Pstotto mate.......... This is really poor stuff from you bud. Wasting peoples time. Starts a thread about a painting and doesn't even post a picture. With all due respect you should be ashamed mate. Useless thread.

OK, I'll post some links.
This week the Turner Prize was shared out i.e. they all win for their careers as Turner prize winners. This is the final (?) stage of an attempted coup of the visual arts by political forces, claiming all artists have a political mandate to unite to stop Brexit for one and an attack on the individual by 'group thinking'.
Extremely disturbing creeping totalitarianism and philistinism
Jack Vettriano is a well-known commercial artist, the painting I'm suggesting doesn't exist, the point is that the subject is what matters and not the art, as a total usurpation of the medium.
Sorry if the Op came across as a bit oblique.

When I watched the TV programme the other night l actually thought ‘pstotto will be spinning in his garret right now’ If artists are not dealing with the important issues of their time then something is wrong.

... And now for sing something simple... The Ensemble with the accompaniment of Jack and his Orchestre shall 'Sing a Song for Greta'
To the tune of 'Blue Moon of Kentucky' with a South Sea Island choir and The Ivor Cutler's Butlers:
Dead Whale of Kirkaldy
Keep on Churning
That ball of human
Detritus
Dead Whale of Kirkaldy
Keep on
Gristing
What all this

Don't listen to the naysaying sheeple Pstotto.
Re: Jack Vettriano siezes his chance
I've amused myself this afternoon doing a CD cover for the track, the source photo I took yesterday intending to put the image in a collage for something else:
Re: Jack Vettriano siezes his chance
Dead whale of Kirkaldy
Keep on shining
We made
A bar tent
Out of you
You swallowed
To much
Rope and
Tarpaulin
In your guts
I found
Instructions
And lights too.

Re: Jack Vettriano siezes his chance
I've just checked and there is a charity for climate change action called The Climate Coalition.
I will donate my art work and lyrics to the creation of a Christmas number one charity song, as above. The melody is there, the essential lyrics are and done and record sleeve cover, so all it needs is the musicians and singers whoever could to record a Christmassy/wintery version.
Just to make clear, the political context of climate change is that all the major parties in this country are for economic growth which is the exact opposite of economic living in tandem with a collective ongoing moral turpitude evidenced by the fact that we've had motoring for over a 100 years and yet still no life universal driving ban law for road killers, hence the satirical lyrics.

Re: Jack Vettriano siezes his chance
I'll ask Greta Thunberg to pen lyrics for Pstotto to sing. I will request that the song be about a living whale not stranded and dead on a beach.
