Snooker UK Championship
Well done Nigel Bond for becoming the oldest person to qualify for the Quarter-Finals since 1980 aged 54.
The quality of snooker from both wasn't great, but he did well to hold himself together and get over the winning line with a final frame decider against Gary Wilson.
He also beat Judd Trump in the previous round.

Re: Snooker UK Championship
Wilson coming back to the table at the end . I know Robertson got 4 snookers yesterday but that’s just ridiculous.
Re: Snooker UK Championship
Quite a few shocks.
Been a good tournament so far
Even ding has finally found his best form.
Tough to pick a winner. Had a small wager on Higgins but needs to up his game or else he'll be out as well.

Like to see Ding win it, my favourite player behind Ronnie, but it’s up for grabs now.

I thought it was a bit unprofessional really, and he was just being a sore loser.Rodneyyouplonker wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 6:09 pmWilson coming back to the table at the end . I know Robertson got 4 snookers yesterday but that’s just ridiculous.
I'd like Bond to win it, but know it's not realistic. Happy for Ding to win it.

Stevens did well last night to take Selby out. Hoping Bond can cause another upset this evening.

Not looking good for Higgins.
Although I'd prefer Yan to get through and mix it up a bit.

Everytime I switch it on the snooker has been absolute rubbish, so I keep turning it back off.
Let's hope it improves

I like Dennis Taylor but I do wonder if Betway pay him extra each time he mentions "Betway UK Championship."

I see Mark Allen's nickame is Pistol. Should Nigel's be Nigel 'Golden Gun' Bond?Rodneyyouplonker wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 6:47 pmWho’s watching Bond, Nigel Bond vs Allen tonight then?

Re: Snooker UK Championship
bbc coverage just gets worse every season.
• the instance of showing every shot from the viewpoint of the pocket which leads to...
• a complete ignorance of the cue-ball
• an obsession with action replays
• annoying and unnecessary graphics
the director clearly has no interest in or knowledge of snooker. even when cued about the important aspect of the next shot by commentary they concentrate purely on the pot. then, ironically, a certain amount of direction is delegated to the commentators and it is at the expense of the action. i swear dennis taylor thinks people tune in to watch him. him and doherty should be pelted with cabbages.
JUST SHOW ME THE TABLE.

Not watched much of it, just flicked it on and seen Ding is 5-2 up looking like 6-2 and booking his place in the final.

Yeah I missed that match, but as I won't be watching any of MOTD, I hope this one goes to the final frame.Rodneyyouplonker wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 4:35 pmNot watched much of it, just flicked it on and seen Ding is 5-2 up looking like 6-2 and booking his place in the final.

Final evening of the final day, time!
Hoping for a Ding 10-9 win.

Re: Snooker UK Championship
earlier this week ding was available at around 40/1 to this win. His price soon came in when the rocket and trump got knocked out. I was so tempted to back him

It's always the way. I must admit, I didn't fancy Ronnie to win it, but I did expect the likes of Higgins or Trump to get to the final.

I think Maguire needed to win that frame. I can't see Ding giving the lead up now.

Wouldn’t mind seeing a comeback for Maguire, just to see a final frame decider, you just can’t beat it. I’m going to stick my neck and say it’s going to happen.
