I remain absolutely delighted this fella is nowhere near Burnley.

It looks like they're already preparing for next season in the Championship. That seems about his stamp.

I've read a few interviews with Pearson since his stint out in Belgium, in which he portrayed himself as very philosophical and mellow. It's the pressure that got to him at Leicester and Derby though, so I wonder how long until he embarrasses himself with another odious outburst.

My mate with a box at Watford told me about this weeks ago but swore me to secrecy.

My other imaginary Watford supporting mate who by coincidence has also got a box at Watford but nowhere near the box I mentioned earlier where my imaginary Watford supporting mate is so doesn't know him mentioned to a mutual friend of ours who is a Watford fan without a box but he is saving up for one that Schmidt was in the frame but he miss heard him and went to check the window frame of a box he was considering buying looking for the birdshit . Think they’ll stay up now - Pearson is an unpleasant character but does have an idea about what he’s doing

Watford have just had a Burnley moment,appointing Pearson is worse than when we appointed Laws,that's one less relegation place for us to worry about

Pearson has nothing to lose,if he masterminds another great escape he's a hero,if Watford go down it was already a sinking ship when he took the reins.

Look at Marco Silva and Hull for comparison,he took them down and yet still landed jobs at Watford and Everton in the top flight.

Some club chairmen seem hellbent on spending vast amounts of the PL TV money they get on paying managers off after they fcuk up.

This'll probably be the same, but as it's only to the end of the season, he might just bumble through.

Surprising one for me this. He didn’t do well at OHL and left after what felt like a long campaign from the fans as they had seen enough. New manager same team and now they are close to being promoted.

Didn’t think he would come back at this level.

Great to see him back.

I'm looking forward to his "I'm much cleverer than you" interviews after has team's next few defeats.

I can't wait for him to wrestle an opposition player to the ground when they are near the dugout.
