Re: Tottingham lukewarmspurts Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
This time last year I would have been questioning Dyche but he turned it around last year and has shown this season he isn't afraid to drop players who under perform - his hands are tied at the moment because of the poor quality in depth of our squad. I would expect Gibson to be given a chance at this point though

With a bit of luck we’ll have Westwood, Barnes and Taylor back

Re: Tottingham lukewarmspurts Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Midfield has been terrible and it's no coincidence that in the last few games that we've started the currwnt full backs we have conceded something like 20 goals.
But both Cork and Hendrick look miles off today

Mee has captain fever a bit like Clark Carlisle. He needs to be dropped for Gibson but won't be since he's captain.
Next game time to give more players a chance. Barnes and Vydra up top. Gibson in for Mee, Kevin Long in for Tarkowski... Drinkwater too.

Credit to McNeil what a player, god bless him that he doesn’t scream at his useless fullbacks.

I’m assuming the proprietors of “Ash Cabs” were possibility’s of being in squad today as both travelled down, but I don’t think Taylor didSalisburyClaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 4:42 pmWith a bit of luck we’ll have Westwood, Barnes and Taylor back

Re: Tottingham lukewarmspurts Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Chances of me renewing next season are less than zero. We have no place and no right to be playing premier league football given our lack of investment. We deserve to be relegated, and we will be this time.
Re: Tottingham lukewarmspurts Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
I agree with some of what you say, but Dyche reluctance to give the kids a go who seem to be very capable is making the depth of the squad a lot worse, as had seen to favour playing players out of form or out of position before giving them a go.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 4:42 pmThis time last year I would have been questioning Dyche but he turned it around last year and has shown this season he isn't afraid to drop players who under perform - his hands are tied at the moment because of the poor quality in depth of our squad. Ah well, the McNeil money along with parachute payments and the dry powder might be enough to keep us going for a year or two after relegation...

I suspect if the board would have given him 100 million to spend he wouldn't have signed Vydra, Jay- Rod, Pieters etc etc
I have long criticised our style of play but he has worked miracles, he is fighting with both hands tied behind his back in this league

Re: Tottingham lukewarmspurts Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
A poor game for us all round.
Outclassed in just about every aspect of this game.
Poor passing and sections making made it all the more easier for Spurs.
I for one am thankful for the FT whistle.

We really need to let McNeil go in January. He is a million miles better than Burnley. It’s not even funny that he got in the starting 11 by accident.

So now you're stuck in a cycle saying both that it's the boards fault for not spending, but even if we did spend then Dyche's style of play makes it irreverent... Make your mind up.won't make a difference who we sign when all we do is hoof it

Re: Tottingham lukewarmspurts Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
McNeil was head and shoulders above any other Burnley player today and even though I want to keep our best players I hope he gets a good move in January because he deserves to flourish and not stagnate in our current squad which by the looks of it are dropping like a stone and heading towards the bottom 3.
