Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
I called Andy Ruiz a lardass last time, but he shocked AJ by catching him with a couple of cracking blows.
Watching the weigh-in, he doesn't look like he's lost any weight, Joshua looking good, gonna go AJ again.
Should be another good un.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
Ruiz has put a stone on since the last fight. He has quick hands but AJ has had enough time to prepare for him properly. He won't have any excuses if he loses again to him.
Ring walks expected 8.45pm
Undercard is decent to.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight

If AJ can't knock that tub of lard over in five he should retire and take up modelling

I'll have a very random guess at 6 round stoppage, Joshua to win.

That's one tough tub of lard, Steve.
However, yeah, Joshua should take him this time.

Is this on pay-per-view? I can’t work out of it’s on normal sky or not, and I don’t seem to have been inundated with adverts like usual.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
Only way Joshua wins is by staying on his bike and using his reach advantage to pot shot with 1-2s then move again.
Any exchange Ruiz has all the advantages, Ruiz has much faster hands a better chin and punchers harder than Joshua.
Ruiz took a couple of Joshua’s flush right hands last time and never moved.
Ruiz KO again

Just looked it up - fight expected to start at 9pm UK time - nice time. None of that silly ******** time when it's in the States.

Gonna find a stream for this. I'm absolutely not paying £25 for it.

I’ll put money on that he does. Joshua maybe able to keep Ruiz at bay for a period of timeTheOriginalLongsider wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 5:23 pmRuiz won’t get near him. It’s going to be a jab fest !
But he will get to him at some stage, especially when Joshua’s tank starts emptying.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
AJ within 5... after that, the greater stamina of Ruiz.
I think AJ will be on his bike. He knows Ruiz can hurt him, he also knows he struggled to hurt Ruiz last time out, so a war it most certainly will not be until AJ tires - and tire he will although maybe not as much as he has done in the last few fights.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
Be very careful with posting links for streams as people have been getting took to court .. Just saying like..Don't want anybody being fined 5 grand for posting links..
"Craig Foster dad of one from Scarborough, North Yorks, says he has been barraged with letters from Sky's law firm Anstey LLP over a recent boxing illegal stream.
One demanded he pay £5,000 in legal costs or go to court for the full amount for the "unlawful redistribution of Sky's content".......................".
“I know streaming of the fight was wrong and that I didn’t stop a friend streaming the Anthony Joshua's championship fight over Facebook Live".
Craig is being told to pay £5,000 - or face court for the full £85,000 charge.
Coachbuilder Craig said he agreed to the demand in a panic claiming he was given only 24 hours to seek advice.

well the cynic in me says that ruiz has joshua's number and that farce was just a prelude to a best of three with a megapayday.
but like i say, i'm a cynic.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
Ruiz looked slow and hardly got anywhere near AJ. He needs a fighter to come on to him and trade.
AJ showed he can box clever and not just rely on power.
Quite easy in the end if not spectacular.

Wow. Well done Aj, held on for 36 minutes against someone who never threw a punch now is celebrating like he beat tyson.
Eddie Hearn boxing is shite, its all about the "next" match.
I'll stick to the channel 5 semi-pro stuff where they actually have a proper match.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
He fought the perfect fight. Last time he felt the pressure to entertain a brawl against a man who has quick hands on the inside. Stupid. That was a boxing masterclass but for the odd mistake. Good lad AJ!

AJ masterclass , boring ? Yes but even DW would have been outpointed . Though if he fights like that against Fury Fury will play him all day long . AJ looked like a true champ and has trained with the “ eye of the tiger “ motivated and focused

Ruiz for me, probably about 3rd round too, he's too fat to make a long fight of it and he knows it.

Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
Already planning the best of three decider, probably at a sold out O2 arena.
Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
I feel sorry for Ruiz. He has Tyson characteristics but never got picked up and trained hard young giving him the body of an obese teletubby. With the right training from an early age he could have been a legend.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 10:10 pmRuiz looked slow and hardly got anywhere near AJ. Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
Think AJ just wanted it a bit more. After the last fight Ruiz went from being a bit of a nobody to having fame and money beyond his wildest dreams, and has probably been enjoying the lifestyle a bit too much.
Re: Joshua v Ruiz Tonight
Not a good fight to watch but a straightforward points victory, which achieved the desired outcome.
Not sure he is in the class of Tyson Fury or Wilder....but that will be the 'big fight test'.
