He's a bit too busy to check this board at the moment. You could try sending a PA at the ground?

Said when Hart was in. The problem isnt the keeper as such. Is leadership. We have none without Heaton.

That's history. I've neve seen anything in Pope that make others think he is a better keeper than Heaton.

Not even his ability to take high crosses?

I'll agree on that one. Perhaps I should have worded it "enough"

Where does it say its all popes fault ??????

Its his fault he uses his feet instead of diving and using his hands

And id say a lot of the recent goals are poor goalkeeping so his fault............but not all goals and performances are popes fault

12 goals shipped in 3 games, seems to have developed an inability to save with his hands and goes with his feet. I don't think he has been the same since the injury, and I think cricket field us correct he has no leadership or organisation properties and we desperately miss that from our Heaton days

Have you watched the rest of the team’s performance? Hardly inspiring confidence is it. Pope must **** himself every time we lose the ball.

The first one against Palace would be difficult for any keeper, however, I thought he should have been down quicker for their second. I've never heard him shout or organise anyone, which is disappointing. We were always taught that the area is the goalkeepers territory and he should take control of it by whatever means, by that it meant organising, being verbal and bossing everyone in it. Heaton was good at that, his weak point was high crosses.

Last season when we were shipping a few it was all Harts fault.... now Popes getting some. Gotta day I’m a little surprised.

Biggest surprise of the day? A Jose Mourinho side with youth AND playing attractive attacking football.

I don't hear "what a save" too often when Pope is in goal.

Feet, hands, head, body
Flat cap, if it keeps it out.
Speed of shot, height of ball, angle etc, all count.

Carry on Nick

Mostly a financial decision at the end of the day, and "at a club like ours" finances dictate I'm afraid

These anti-Pope  posters have got to be Rovers fans taking the wotsits. It's hard to believe that any Claret is now questioning Pope's ability.

To be honest, I think he's going through a period of poor form. It happens.
Should he be rested? Should we omit any player on poor form? We'd probably have to make 8 changes :D

It's weird how when coming for crosses he can extend himself to about 12ft, yet when he's diving to make a save he's about 4ft 2.

I've been surprised at how poor Heaton has been today.

We're not looking great for an England keeper right now.

A tall keeper will naturally use their legs when the ball is low and near their body. Adjusting you legs in that way is quicker than using your hands and also is likely to prevent the ball going through your legs. Just basic goalkeeping really - watch De Gea- he does exactly the same

It’s not questioning his ability, but I think he has struggled recently and seems reluctant to dive on his previously injured shoulder

No leadership qualities - against Palace you could hear him howling at his team "come on, don't give up, get in there".
He's fine, we all need to settle down and get behind them.
