FAO Leisure

Post by MACCA » Sat Dec 07, 2019 8:19 pm

Pete, I wasn't very impressed today with the foul and abusive language you aimed at me today.

All I said was "Garlick stinks" and you told me to eff off.
I could have understood if you offered some sort if discussion.

Was you a little hot under the collar with our display?
I didnt expect that, I was shocked.

Alls well pal, it was a hard watch in the end.
See you next time.

I obviously missed the joke (if there was one) but it was a tad repetative and got boring! πŸ˜‰

Joke regards what?

I think you snapped at the first bellow of Garlick stinks, but towards the end I think you were quiety agreeing.

What about the guy infront towards the end he was going full on abusive but you didnt back me up when I defended us to the hilt.

I was looking for support from a fellow true supporter.

We can put it down to a tough day at the office, we all lose our rag sometimes and you're no different.

Anyone who slags Burnley off are going to get short shrift from claret phoney and leisure cos they get as many tickets as they want wherever they want to sit. No doubt I will now get banned. Farewell.

I'm purely adding balance, there was uproar on here t'other week when young lads abuses/swore at an elderly fan.

Just pointing out OAPs sometimes swear at young fans too as was the case yesterday, it happens regardless of age.

No i dont go hitting people for a difference in opinion, however someone close by ( apparently off Accy clarets and I apologise if he wasnt ) threatened to hit a 18 year old, then another chap sat with Pete also got aggressive with someone.

It all got very tense and left a sour taste in my mouth.
Not nice to see.

Not sure why you're bringing Accy Clarets into this, as no-one who travelled with Accy Clarets on our 3 coaches was involved in the incident. Also, it was over and done with in 5 seconds or so, the stewards came and took no action about it. A storm in a tea cup. Get over it, not good to see but unfortunately it happens at football games.

So are you saying that repeatedly shouting 'Garlick stinks' at the top of your voice is 'adding balance'? Also it didn't matter just how loud and how often you shouted it, he wouldn't have been able to hear you! πŸ˜‰

Saw only what I did out of corner of my eye then heard the chinese whispers at HT

Glad it was resolved

I'm not sure, it did look very much like the tourists were gathered to our right.

Must add our view was excellent, possibly the best view of the away end.
Nice to see us proper fans are still getting looked after.

Yes, a great view and no more than I would have expected, especially seeing as Parkvilla appears to think that I can get as many tickets as I want and I even get to choose specific seats!

Yes no problem, how many tickets will you like for your friends and family?
Diesn't matter whether they're a season ticket holder, they support Blackburn, or have even watched a football game before.

Just let us know the final number, where you would like to sit, and what price you want to pay ( because we often get cheaper tickets with being proper fans )

We tried to count the empty seats to fans in seats ratio at around 80 minutes, that was a fun game, then we got into their final 3rd, got excited and we lost count.

Here have a go...

Probably very puzzled if they understood in the first place.

I could understand a few of their songs, but not sure they're "the best team the world has ever seen" or "Sissoko scores when he wants" both no where near the truth and quite bizarre if not totally outrages claims.

In fact I'd say Garlic stinks is far more realistic and quite true for a number of people, regardless of the club they support

Ps stop being concerned what other teams fans think, they're not worth it

But I'm concerned on your behalf and I can't help it. I don't want them to think that one of our following hates garlic so much that he goes all the way to North London just to shout about it. Things like this can have unforeseen consequences. You don't want to be forever known as 'The Garlic Stinks Man from Burnley.

There were far more than just me who were aiming their displeasure at Mr Garlick, in fact, quite a few saying Garlick stinks.

And I dont mind if im known as The garlic stinks man from Burnley, I've been called and probably known for far worse

I love garlic too. It also helps to keep mozzies and midges away. I wonder if this is where the vampire myth came from?
