It seems the players are enjoying their Christmas party in Dublin this year. Hopefully they have a good time, don’t get in any trouble, and come back stronger. That comment though...

Yeah not sure that’s the most supportive comment you could give a current Burnley player.

To answer your question, I haven’t enjoyed the last 3 games, I am however pretty happy with being the 13th best team in the country.

I very much doubt he would. Players and teams play well and players and teams play badly but the club is going down the wrong path if the players' personal time is controlled.

Maybe Dyche thinks that being 13th in the table at the time of the players’ planned Christmas celebrations is not enough of a crisis to warrant pulling the plug on the event. We have been through good and bad spells this season like we do in most others but fortunately the people that matter don’t seem to make the same knee jerk reactions as some of our fans.

I hear they were in advance party, midday flight Saturday from Manchester to Dublin.

Sean told the team "no shots" - seems they took it as applying from 3pm yesterday.

Cancelling Xmas or at very least holding back on the festivities until the form was back on track could have had some sort of connection with sections of a unhappy fanbase hacked off with the last 3 games post Watford that's for sure.

The players will only get the chance to drink alcohol a few times throughout the whole season, would you really cancel one of them. Morale needs lifting not extinguishing.

After all the fuss of no beer being sold at Sheff Utd and Watford half times. Get a grip people.

The last 3 performances have been awful and it appears that their Christmas ride out which must have been planned for ages in advance, has fallen at a very unfortunate time. For me personally, they have credit in the bank for several great seasons with some great performances in there, so I'm not too fussed tbh, but if things aren't much better come Saturday and after Christmas I might start to feel differently. (Having said that, they probably booked it on Last Minute just to avoid facing SD on Monday morning!!)

It was one night out. That I assume was pre-planned and approved by the management. Good for team bonding. I'm fairly sure they will be back in training as they normally would be....

There's absolutely no news in this 'story' at all. They've had a night out after a defeat. What terrible human beings.....

Can’t see an issue regardless of the most recent result. Nor do I see the proof in the pudding being the Newcastle game. We have always had ups and downs with Dyche but ultimately sit in an amazing position.

Probably draw the line at Danny Drinkwater though, who still has a great deal to prove after his recent fiasco, and yet by all accounts was the most popped up and visibly so.

So the players are in Dublin on their Christmas jolly.

They have a big and important period coming up lets cut them a bit of slack .... the only dark cloud really from the last 3 games was Palace at home, City was always a gamewe were destined to lose and lets face it Spurs was as well... at least we went into these 3 games on the back of 3 wins 10 goals none conceded.... so 9 points from 18 is average and we tbf are an average team. Also missing 3 vital players in Westy, Charlie and JBG.

I for one am not pressing the panic button just yet.

If this Dublin trip raises player morale at this time I am all for it.

Bring on the Barcodes on Saturday lets get back to winning ways...
