Re: 2019/20: Burnley v Peterborough United – Cup Ticket Information
Must say I was a bit amused at the kick off time. Not sure what our thoughts were at Watford recently but it was three minutes past three when we kicked off.
Re: 2019/20: Burnley v Peterborough United – Cup Ticket Information
In that case we should kick off all games at 3.03 as in that one we scored 3 goals ... All the 3's innitClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 11:22 amMust say I was a bit amused at the kick off time. Good idea. I only noticed it because of our tight schedule after the game with the train problems. So 3 mins plus I think 9 mins stoppage time meant we’d no chance of making the train we’d initially targeted.

I can’t run at the best of times but have been suffering with a back problem for about a month now so even walking to and from the station at Watford was hard work.

Looking at another very poor crowd for this game, which must be so demoralizing for the players. Why oh why don't the club do all adults £10 (not just season ticket holders), and kids-a-quid at games like these? Let's get a big crowd in at cup games and at least try creating an atmosphere for the players. The crowd will struggle to top 10,000 at those prices.
Re: 2019/20: Burnley v Peterborough United – Cup Ticket Information
It does seem quite steep to watch our reserves play at 70%

A. Means we can charge Peterborough £15
B. Rewards season ticket holders
C. More chance of keeping out cheapskates or part timers
Re: 2019/20: Burnley v Peterborough United – Cup Ticket Information
I'd say the likes of Gibson and Vydra will be demoralised enough anyway.TonbridgeClaret wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 2:22 pmLooking at another very poor crowd for this game, which must be so demoralizing for the players.

Ah that's great for them, helps offset some of the cost.RammyClaret61 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 3:28 pmIt’s £10 for Peterborough season ticket holders also.
Think both clubs need to agree on these things these days.

The crowd would struggle to top 10,000 if it was free.TonbridgeClaret wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 2:22 pmLooking at another very poor crowd for this game, which must be so demoralizing for the players. Aye heaven forbid we let in those who can't afford season tickets / £40+ a game or that enjoy watching Burnley but also have other priorities / enjoyments in life
Pretty sure season ticket holders also already get rewards in such as a guaranteed seat, cheaper average prices for league games and priority on away tickets too.
Re: 2019/20: Burnley v Peterborough United – Cup Ticket Information
Who/where does it say that the club aren't letting in non-season ticket holders? They're more than welcome but have to pay a bit more. Seems reasonable to me.Goobs wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 4:07 pmAye heaven forbid we let in those who can't afford season tickets / £40+ a game or that enjoy watching Burnley but also have other priorities / enjoyments in life

Re: 2019/20: Burnley v Peterborough United – Cup Ticket Information
I agree, I'd rather we had 20k on at £5 a ticket than 7k on at £15, but that's just me.Goobs wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 4:07 pmAye heaven forbid we let in those who can't afford season tickets / £40+ a game or that enjoy watching Burnley but also have other priorities / enjoyments in life

I want to encourage new supporters, or even ease finantial pressure of what an extra game brings straight after Christmas, but many, many fans dont want to.
Everything is going swimmingly though and the club looks after fans, and doesnt need any new ones.
We are in the premier league, monies from fans is a pittance of our revenue.

Have you ever thought that we might try things like that but the opposition don't want prices so low.TonbridgeClaret wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 2:22 pmLooking at another very poor crowd for this game, which must be so demoralizing for the players. Yes someone mentioned above, I recall hearing they've sorted out the previous farce of clubs using "season ticket" discount or "memberships" to fleece away fans.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 5:44 pmPeterborough season ticket holders get the same price as our season ticket holders
Looks like the FA have put a stop to that.

Is the £10 offer only available until tickets go on general sale like what's happened in the past?
Or can ST holders pay 10 pound anytime before the game?

You will only be guaranteed your own seat up to Monday but season ticket holders will still be able to buy tickets for the same price until possibly the day before the game.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 2:56 pmIs the £10 offer only available until tickets go on general sale like what's happened in the past?

Fair play to anybody that goes to a cup game these days. Club should be paying fans with our cup record

If we let our fans in for free I doubt we would get over a 15,000 gate.
This competition has now lost its appeal and our record over the last 7 seasons is absmil

To avoid paying an extra £5 for adults and £2.50 for concessions make sure that you get your tickets before Saturday.

Looking at the seating plan I'd say around 5,000.Awayfromburnley wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 8:37 pmDoes anyone know how many have been sold?
