He needs more minutes, that's why he didnt come on when the game was lost on Saturday.

Plus I'm sure he will be on the Christmas party with the others.

Time to get Koiki on the bench if Taylor isn't yet fit. Pieters is gash.

Probably the worst I've seen us this season but the opposition was very poor.

That's a surprise, given the score.
Take the 3 points though. ;)

Bolton are playing Stanley in the Sherpa Van Trophy tomorrow night. Their "senior" under 23s might have been saved for that.

Don't think you'd be saying that if you'd seen Koiki today! He was very very poor.

I'd suggest that was Koiki's worst game all season

Any news on Steve Stone? Thought he might be back now that the player involved is looking elsewhere

I have only seen the U23's once and that was the Blackburn game the other week, so no way am I professing to know much about them at all. People like CT and others see them regularly, so their opinion is clearly much more balanced. I was also aware that day that we were playing a team who's players are (in theory) a category above, but tbh they didn't really look it. HOWEVER, I was also aware that we have a number of very highly rated young lads who people on here feel may be "knocking on the door". That day I thought Koiki looked busy, but ultimately didn't make any impact on the game, Harker looked like he wanted the ball to his feet and anything that involved a chase he gave up on, N'Guessan gave the ball away for Rover's first goal and seemed to let it affect him and was basically AWOL after that, Benson didn't have a touch for the first 20 minutes and after that became our most influential player and looked promising, Younger looked a solid no nonsense central defender, Goodridge came on in the second half and did ok and I have to say that Thomas, who came on late in the game to play at centre half looked to have a real bit of class about him. Nobody looked like they could play anything like PL football, YET. Having watched that bobbins we were served up on Saturday, some may feel we should give one or two of these lads a go as they can't do any worse, but unfortunately I saw nothing to suggest they would improve our starting XI, or be the next Dwight McNeil and it would probably be a disaster for all concerned tbh. Having said that, they're now top of their league and so like for like against other teams with similar age/experience they must have something worth persevering with and the potential to learn.
