manifestos

Post by Barry_Chuckle » Wed Dec 11, 2019 6:49 pm

For the last 6 weeks or so we've had Politicians avoid answering questions, spouting misinformation and lies in abundance, then there's the MASSIVE giveaways being promised which are totally affordable.

Is it time the manifestos which the politicians go to the country with, are legally binding for the winning political party?

At least everyone would know what they aware actually voting for, and more importantly, know what you are likely to get over the next 5 years!

For anyone confused when reading political party manifestos.
Just change the word 'plans' to 'lies'.

The manifestos usually do get implemented, by all parties.
That's why you should fear the tories....it's not for you!

All promises are contingent. For example Labours “fully costed” manifesto is contingent upon projected tax revenue, which may not come to fruition when the 150 billionaires they seem so reliant on decide to spend more time in Monaco, or that their proposed privatisations aren’t challenged in the Courts, or they can’t get the skilled labour to build 200,000 houses a year etc etc.

Or Boris finds it hard to "Get It Done" in time and lands us all in a pickle. Or when we find that trade deals aren't happily landing in our favour. Or when the borders are not easy to protect. Or when some Tories who promised to back him start to change their minds. Or when Rees Mogg is let out again and starts to upset the trade negotiators. Or when Trump shows who the trade deals are really weighted in favour of.
Also when all the opposition parties come rushing to the Tories to help them with the social care cross party talks. Or when Boris finally gets interviewed by his ex-boss and the Boris promises start to unwind !
You see not all the Tory press or Conservative party machine can fool all of us not even some of the time and fake news just proves to be exactly that a smoke and mirrors act by Boris and his backroom staff . He'll have to hide in a bigger fridge won't he. White feather Boris ?
