True, although I was born in Burnley. I assume the majority of posters on this board were either born in Burnley or near by
I took your post to mean looking like a tory win in Burnley based on the responses. The tories may well be in front if only Burnley voters were counted but it can't be guaranteed.

Interesting how little confidence people have in the party they are voting for.

The website " Electoral Calculus " forecasts that Labour will hold on to Burnley by less than 400 votes, whereas the YouGov MRP poll released on Tuesday evening, has a Labour majority of around 2,800, assuming the same turnout as 2017 ...

Labour had a majority of 6,383 in 2017 ...

My candidate and the one in the next door constituency where I work 8.

And I want a hung parliament please. None of these parties should have overall control. They all need to be shackled by requiring their suicidal policies to be approved by at least one other lot - and preferably not the dup.

Haven't you heard, it is not their fault. It is the fault of those pesky critters who actually emancipated the working class in 1918, giving them the vote. The Tories bless them are only looking after the interests of their multi millionaire and billionaire backers.

It should be left up to the Queen and the Establishment to run the country and tell us serfs what to do.

Oh and I will be voting Labour. Just got a 25,000 majority to overturn here in Hampshire. No probs.!!!!

Electoral calculus has Burnley as really tight...(51/49)...don’t waste your vote on anyone other than Tory if you don’t want Corbyn.

Vote already cast - Labour.

A confidence rating of 7, losing 1 mark for not being more decisive on Brexit, one mark because I think the manifesto is over ambitious for a 5 year term and 1 mark because I have my doubts over Corbyn as a leader (but no more so that the other party leaders).

I thought it was the local election so went with those I see out and about changing my community for the better.

So Tories are 5 votes down purely for my oversight

Another classic deflection of the reasons people have abandoned Labour..all the brainwashing by the Tory press.
Instead of blaming the press try looking at the real reasons why people have chosen to abandon Labour. Learn the lessons....oh...and change the leader!

Conservative-6 they're the best of a bad bunch, and the SNP need to get the message Scotland doesn''t want another indy ref,i don't want Boris to get a large majority though,he'd be a nightmare then,a working majority of 20-30 will suffice and keep him in check.

Corbyn won't be Labour leader for much longer, already there is moves to oust him,the critical :?: is who replaces him,if they've got any sense it'll be Keir Starmer, but i'm not convinced the Labour membership has any commonsense.

This is the worst political leadership in my lifetime from all parties with the expectation of the Greens(but they'll never get near power) and aren't standing in my seat anyway.

I am really torn as to who to vote for.

I have never seen such an odious line-up as the current Conservative front bench. Boris losing would probably see Gove takeover......what a miserable thought! I am a Remainer. Elected, Boris will simply walk out of Europe with no deal. 70% of our trade is with Europe. The economy will be hit and hard....I suspect a million jobs will be lost while it takes years to reach a trade deal.

I fear John McDonnell has real control of Labour and it's spend, spend, spend policy. They have promised so many things but with one aim in mind...to get elected.

Being a Remainer, I should vote for the Lib Debs however I dislike it's shouty, uninspiring leader. Voting for the party that will finish 3rd does seem like a wasted vote. I might as well vote Green Party.

Just been to the polling station. Not a hint of anyone under the age of 35, whilst I was there (a good 30 mins whilst talking with someone).

Labour performance is likely to be driven by da yoof turnout, wont it?
