Bradley Dack anybody?

Post by Andreshotboots » Thu Dec 12, 2019 7:59 am

Would you?

This guy seems an excellent player and whenever the fiddlers go on a decent run he always seems to be at the heart of it. Has a decent fitness record too and plays lots of games.

I suppose the question is whether he could step up and if he would ever leave them for the Clarets if we were interested..

Bit of a party animal with a Z list girlfriend. About as far away from a Dyche player as you could possibly get.

Has he caused Mowbray many issues? Genuine question not being pedantic.

We also had a Mr. Barton who came to us with a terrible reputation and he turned out OK.

Maybe that flair and slightly wilder side is what we are lacking in our side to offer us another option.

He does seem to be the ace at the centre of their recent revival which has seen them move from potential relegation candidates to play-off hopefuls in the the last couple of weeks. The problem is he is still a Championship player and we need better and also few have made the cross-over from the dark side (but that is not impossible).

Agree to some extent but Mount, Abraham, Puki to name a small selection were Championship players last season and they've taken the Premier League by storm, two of those are now playing for England.

I know we can say so was Vydra, but he's not getting games so we'll never know.

Ideally we would love to buy players who are proven, who could slot straight into the team but I think it's been made very clear over the last few windows that we are not in a position too, or won't spend that type of money.

Somebody like Dack in my opinion would be a far better option that Lennon, who has had 1 good game for Burnley, Brady who was starting to play well before getting injured and hasn't looked the same player since, and JBG who just can't seem to get a run of games before pulling up again.

We aren't willing to sign Premiership quality though, or shop in the European market so what do you suggest? The likes of Maddison, Brooks, Mount and Abraham have stepped up from the Championship no problem.

If Stoke go down this season it will open up a whole new market for us to look at

Aaron Mooey is only on loan at Brighton from Hudds.

I'd like an enquiry about him.

Very little difference in the general standard of players in the Championship and Premier League - outside of the glamour clubs.

If we can cherry pick some of the best then that’s a good policy

I can't disagree with you bud and I don't have any answers but if we aspire to longevity in the PL (which is not the be-all and end-all of football but we all want to be in the top division whatever it's called) then we have to start looking elsewhere other than the Championship. Why do we not have an international scouting network? If we have it's not very effective because we are overwhelmingly a British player club. I'm surprised no-one has pointed the finger of racism at us by now. Seriously there MUST be players of good quality out there who are affordable and can step into the side without having this ridiculous 'bedding in' period. I love Dyche and he has a job for life as far as I'm concerned but with just about every area of his thinking he displays an amount of inflexibility that is quite alarming at times.

The January window is going to be a very interesting watch.

Without looking further afield, I'm not really sure where we go from here in the transfer market. It seems even the best players in the Championship are out of our reach now, there's no way we could sign someone like Calvin-Phillips from Leeds.

I think players at clubs that are likely to be promoted, or other clubs who are likely to make the playoffs, will always be tougher to buy.

Problem is that's about 15 clubs in the Championship it's that tight.

Ah well, back to Stoke...

In the spirit of friendship and goodwill I dashed of a quick e-mail to the Pope the other day to see if we could have this Catholic version of a fatwa lifted. One of his minions (Kevin I think) replied saying that if you were to accept him as the leader of God's people on earth and convert to the cause he MIGHT consider calling off the 'death priests'. The only difficulty may be that these murderous men of the cloth are told they must never give up, even if they are told to do so (in case they are being tricked).

I've tried my best. :D :D :D

Been in trouble with the Police and narrowly avoided jail after not conforming to a community order on multiple occasions!

Doesn’t seem the brightest and thinks he’s a celebrity! Had his house burgled and allegedly had two expensive watches stolen when it’s doubtful if he could use one!

Only looks good in a Poor Rovers side.

As you may I have guessed I am seriously against giving Rovers any of our money for him
