As a club that drags in 20/25% of it's town population we don't do too bad. We could win the Champions League every year for 10 years and we aren't gonna get 25k home support every week, apart from trophy hunters who we don't really want I suppose. Home gates are going down slightly because of PL fatigue (the continuous battle to stay up) and probably the recent run of poor results. I wouldn't worry too much.

I'd sooner the "glory hunters" keep going on and make the club more money and fill the ground, than not want them attending and have a much lower crowd.

And ridiculous ko times certainly don't help.

For the United game it’s the opposite, people on that game I have gotten tickets for who wouldn’t normally because the kick off time has meant that will be a day we can have a decent drink then enjoy the match.

I’ve “bought” 2 tickets for the United game

I’ve got a STH in the JMU, but had to “buy” a ticket as my kids team is doing the matchday experience for that game

My STH is being used though so not wasted

That's good then but would they have been going on if it had been say Watford at that time?

Complete home sell outs are difficult to achieve for one because of restricted viewing seats. But we have been very close to sell outs a number of times this season.

We've always had a hardcore 18.000 even back in the 60s 70s gates were only boosted by big away followings from Manchester Leeds and Liverpool or when the FA Cup was Popular plus walk ons.Enforced ticketing as played it's part to.imo

There is two area's in the cricket field stand and four area's in the Bob Lord stand.

Probably, yes.

It’s been a day out on the beer that’s been planned a bit and hotels booked locally as they’re travelling in from elsewhere, the fact the game is later on gives a better day out for it and suits plans even better.

I agree that if it was always at that time on a Saturday it’d get a bit tedious but on the flip side, 3pm on a Saturday takes up the whole day as from 12-5/6o clock you can’t do much else. If it was 8 o clock kick offs every Saturday, you’d be able to go out Saturday morning/afternoon and do other things and then head to the football and home afterwards.

There’s always a pro and a con to these things.
