Count down to Christmas has officially started.

Love the darts, nice opening night, sadly I'm not there on that stage :-(

It's difficult to see past MVG although this has got to be the best tournament over the last 9-10 years where there are many who could realistically win it. Both Price and Aspinall have come out of nowhere and then you have Rob Cross who hasn't been playing in the World's that long. Gary Anderson 25/1? I know you have to take the draw into consideration, but they aren't bad odds.

But as an outside chance I'd go with Aspinall, purely because of the odds of 40/1 when I last looked. I don't generally bother with the poor odds of like 5-1. I think MVG will win, but for the random punt, Aspinall.

MVG at 6/5 with skybet, very poor odds.
Does James Wade ever win anything, enjoyed watching him a couple of years ago in the premier league, he came across as a right bad tempered guy, odds of 40/1.

Is he knocking off the former walk-on lass with the big bazookas?

How do e/w bets work on the darts? Is it 1/4 odds for the semis?

. thinks Frank is being harsh saying RvB has been terrible the last few years. He thinks yesterday and last year were poor but before that his record was:

2015: Semi-final (lost to Phil Taylor 2–6)
2016: Semi-final (lost to Adrian Lewis 3–6)
2017: Semi-final (lost to Michael van Gerwen 2–6)
2018: Quarter-final (lost to Michael van Gerwen 4–5)

He also notes the 2017 defeat to MvG saw RvB average 109 in that loss - far from terrible.

I guess I watch too much darts and pinned it on the World's when I was seeing him overall.

I can tell he's lost it though to win a major. He fluffs far too many doubles when I see him.

Absolutely awesome performance. Only 16 of the 47 other players to play in the tournament so far, have bettered her average. Brilliant

Yes just seen that,a watershed moment in the sport :?: the Japanese girl was unlucky to lose her match on Sunday and took it right to the wire.

Darts is one of the sports that to me i don't see any obvious reason why there should be a male/female divide, and i can envisage 5/10 years hence that men and women will be competing on an equal stage.

And I thought you were a pretty level headed lad. But because people like a sport you don't, you're sulking.

If you don't like darts, don't go onto a thread about darts. The same way I don't bother with threads about cricket.
