Cheers Chester for posting.
The lad is a massive talent, it's not just his driving at full backs, it's how he can keep the ball under pressure that impresses.
He's still developing his game and if he can stay injury free he will be some player in 2 or 3 years, particularly once fully physically developed and with more experience at Premier League level.

Unsurprising that he models himself on Giggs, a supportive football-loving family helps too. Long may he grace Turf Moor.

Nice change to have a player with no fear on the ballbodge wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 12:22 amCheers Chester for posting.

Unfortunately the lad already looks too good to be playing for us. Think how good he could be in a team that actually played football on the deck.

Re: Dwight McNeil Interview in the Guardian
He’s such a refreshing player to watch and seems to have a great attitude.
Wish him all the success, hopefully with us for a couple more years yet.

Re: Dwight McNeil Interview in the Guardian
Good point in the article about his ability to glide past defenders, not many players have that knack. Most rely on out and out pace.

Re: Dwight McNeil Interview in the Guardian
And, another Dwight interview in Times Sport.
Drills with dad made Dwight McNeil an England winger of the future
Burnley’s rising star tells Gregor Robertson why being dumped by Manchester United at 14 was actually a positive
Hope this link allows "shares" for everyone who otherwise couldn't access thru paywall.

Couple of extracts:
“Obviously I was disappointed, and a bit hurt, because it had been a dream, but since I’ve been at Burnley I’ve never looked back really,” he says. “It was a bit of a difficult conversation when my mum and dad told me the news, but I think as a family we handled it well. I’m just grateful Burnley took me on and gave me an opportunity."
Despite talk of an England call-up and growing transfer speculation, one gets the impression McNeil cannot help but remain grounded.
“The gaffer calls it ‘outside noise’ and to be honest I don’t take any interest in it,” he says. “My dad calls it ‘rumours’ and I’ve got agents who look after that. I just concentrate on my football.”

I think that’s ******** tbh. The way we play with Wood and Barnes or Jay Rod in the middle to aim for are a wingers dream.

Re: Dwight McNeil Interview in the Guardian
McNeil and Wood link up well. Just keep whipping those balls in and he'll be surely in the England squad next summer.
And that will add £££s to his price tag. If he was then to leave after the Euros for £40-50 million then fair enough.
