Burnley earn a contentious corner after Newcastle had been adamant they should have been awarded a goal-kick.

Chris Wood rises highest in a mass of bodies to head in from Ashley Westwood's cross a metre or two out, and that could be a very valuable goal for the hosts indeed.

Typical Steve Bruce side dishing it out. Joelinton should have had 2 yellows for his 2 stamps on Tarks, if not a straight red for the second. Now Carroll is at it again.
One of them will likely equalise when they shouldn’t be on the pitch.

Deffo a corner their defender was laying on top of the ball as it crossed the line

You can forgive the ref being cautious on his PL debut,but surely that's the whole bloody point of VAR to correct mistakes.

Seems you're right,doesn't stop Bruce whining though,he's a nasty piece of work.

Steve Bruce is having a moan at the fourth official, he isn't happy about the corner that was given for the goal.

The referee initially gave a goal-kick before changing his mind after a signal from his assistant. Replays suggest the officials came to the right decision though.

Hope we don't rue these missed chances,should be game over by now.
