NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
NBC Gold seem to show Burnley footie on a regular occasion, So I have a couple of questions,
1) Are there any UK subscribers on here? and if so
2) How did you do it?

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
I think it is for the USA only. I have it,$40 a season. It is great every game live that is not on regular television. I get to watch every game between the regular tv and my desktop.

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
They’re not always on NBC but are always shown somewhere.
Subscribe to an IPTV service and you’ll get them all and much more

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
Think you have to have a US cable subscription to even sign up for it officially and not sure the cost or even whether it is possible
Thats before you have to get round the geographical stuff which for something like NBC streaming VPNs might not bypass it

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
Sign up to DAZN in Canada instead since unlike the USA they don't have games split between normal cable TV and streaming. In the USA some of the selected games (not often with Burnley) are shown instead on cable NBC channels and NOT on the NBC sports gold app.. They basically f*cked over us by making us pay for both a cable/streaming service and the NBC sports gold service.
To be fair the Burnley games shown outside of NBC sports gold are the same games usually chosen for TV in the UK too...the big team games are usually chosen instead.
We have Comcast's greed to blame for USA coverage. They bought Sky in UK and Europe and NBC in the USA so of course the games they show on their NBC main channels are the same select Sky games. It's also usually very easy to predict the match of the day order since the featured games (first and middle) are often the ones chosen for live coverage on Sky\NBC, more rarely BT and therefore have the best highlight/commentery package.
Every premier league game is on DAZN in Canada. Just make sure you sub using a Canadian VPN which you'll also need to stream the games. If you sub to UK or US DAZN you'll get different sports subscription without football (soccer).
Best to do all this on a PC since there are harder geo blocks on Android/Apple even when using a VPN.
Provided your VPN is reliable this will be so so much better than any IPTV service out there, even the acclaimed ones such as sportsmania.
Imo there's no reason to keep using those IPTV services now you can do things this way.
Cup games are a different matter entirely in the USA anyway. EFL cup early rounds they pick a single game to be shown in the ESPN+ app which is another $5 a month. Later rounds they tend to show some more. FA cup is the same but they show more games in total..
Canada has EFL cup is on DAZN like the premier league and FA on Sportsnet which is a cable channel.. Both select games only (probably the same ones as in the UK) until you get to the later rounds when more games are chosen.
Why the hell we can't just pay to watch each Burnley game is beyond me.

There's quite often only one game on while a game is on Sky. So they couldn't select another if they wanted to anywaysuperdimitri wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 5:28 am...of course the games they show on their NBC main channels are the same select Sky games.

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
Yes I have had it all this season running on firestick, shield and phone in the UK. Its been great, worked out at about £30 if I remember correctly, sign up with your VPN set to America then ensure its set to America before starting any game, I went for it after having enough of my IPTV cocking up and I have never had a problem since. Also DAZN show every game in English too but I couldn't get round it with VPN as its a German/Canada thing.

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
It works well for the time differences with those games being shown early and therefore they can put those on early TV here not to rival any American sports. Also works well for highlights as they get more time to edit.deanothedino wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 8:06 amThere's quite often only one game on while a game is on Sky. All the games are premier league productions with the same commentery and steam. No matter where you watch them.
Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
I subscribe to NBC Sports Gold. I bought a hooky account for £30 two years ago and it is still working.
Every game is on live at 3pm every Saturday and in 1080p. You do need a VPN though.
You have to buy them via a WhatsApp chat... it is called Premium Accounts on +66 63 443 6716. I've been using them for 5 years.
They used to have a UK website under Premium Accounts UK, but it was taken offline about 2 years ago.

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
Yes it does. My point was more that they don't have a choice about the early games though. If a UK broadcaster has picked up a game and caused it to move out of 3pm due to the law, then it's natural international broadcasters will show that game.superdimitri wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 7:27 pmIt works well for the time differences with those games being shown early and therefore they can put those on early TV here not to rival any American sports. Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
Yes, but I don't think I ever insinuated that it wasn't the choice of sky in the UK. Just that Sky are now majority owned by Comcast who also own NBC.deanothedino wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 7:53 amYes it does. If a different TV company was to show the games they may choose different games instead.
Not so sure on the UK commentery being different, they pretty much just cut into the same commentery for the games shown on NBC here. Commentery is different if it's a bt game or an international.

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
You said NBC only choose the big teams for their main channel. Outside of the 3pm slot they show whatever the UK broadcasters have picked, because that’s the reason they’re not on at 3pm. I can’t imagine that changing if someone other than Sky pick them up. It’s been that way since before Sky was Comcast.superdimitri wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 3:34 amYes, but I don't think I ever insinuated that it wasn't the choice of sky in the UK. UK production isn’t Premier League Productions was my point. The UK broadcaster produces the games they broadcast. Sky will use their commentators, not PLPs

Re: NBC Gold - any subscribers out there?
I'm really not sure why you keep recycling the same info. My post was only written in layman terms to try and help the op. I know that's why the games are chosen for NBC but you seem to have some kind of agenda proving the obvious.deanothedino wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 12:09 pmYou said NBC only choose the big teams for their main channel. The commentators on the NBC games here are the same as the Sky ones. For the live games Premier league productions they may not be, but the commentators are the same.
My point about Comcast has nothing whatever to do with the UK, just that they create a monopoly and make fans in the USA pay separately to see every game. Compare this to Canada where there's no Comcast monopoly they have every game on the same DAZN service which was the reason to try and help the op.
