Whispers that Besiktas are going to offer Drinkwater an 18 month loan deal, is he leaving us in January, and if so who are we replacing him with?

He'll need a driver for, at least, part of the journey.
Guess there'll be no shortage of volunteers.

Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
Clearly not impressing Dyche in training given his complete lack of game time apart from the City game
Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
What a waste of ££££££££££££££ he was to us
Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?

Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
My Turkish barber has a mate who owns a kebab shop near Istanbul and has shares in a box at Besiktas and he says he hasn't heard anything.
Joe Allen probably.

Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
He appeared unfit and disinterested iin his time when he actually played
This was a chance to rebuild his career, which is in freefall ,that he failed to take
This is the latest in a line of Chelsea flops that includes Chalobah and Bamford.A gamble that could have paid off but didnt

Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
On top of this issue with DD we still have to see whether Hendrick will sign a new contract this summer. Do we also let him go in Jan if a suitable offer comes along. My brother in law is a Sheff Utd fan and says they are thought to be interested in Jeff
Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
An extremely expensive gamble if we've been paying him 50 grand a week.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 1:54 amHe appeared unfit and disinterested iin his time when he actually played

Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
I think if Hendrick was going to sign he'd have done it by now.

Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
This’ll give them a midfield of DD and Ozil. Will they ever get the ball back?

Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
Lloyd Dyer.....remember his cameos at the back end of our Championship title-winning season, particularly the one at St Andrews when he really helped us see out the 2-1.

I love the selected memories of some fans.
It’s the same ones who mention signing Vydra, Walters Wells as the sum total of Dyche’s transfer dealings

Completely forgot that he played for us!
Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
Really struggled to think of a loanee who made a impact ,I thought djemba ,but didn't know if he was a dyche signing
Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
Not really, but the question was to name 1 loan that has paid off. You seem to be shifting the goalposts.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 10:26 amHe didn't start playing him until he signed permanently did he?
I don't think he was on loan.Stalbansclaret wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 12:26 pmLloyd Dyer.....remember his cameos at the back end of our Championship title-winning season, particularly the one at St Andrews when he really helped us see out the 2-1.
Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
we signed Lloyd Dyer as a free agent from what I remembered

Re: Drinkwater to Besiktas?
My point was ,I don't understand why fans get carried away with transfer window as nothing positive ever happens under dyche that gets you excited as a fan ,I see on twitter that dyche as already played down this transfer window saying how tough it is
