Re: Heart rendering
A great rugby league player, scrum half and relatively tiny, will o' the wisp.
Can only wish him all the best but it's a tough one.

Brave guy.
Has anyone read Joe Hammond’s recent book on his battle with MND? It’s a fantastic book, but obviously not light reading.

Re: Heart rending
Certainly shook me when I heard about this yesterday. Cracking player who always gave it everything and is now facing a bleak and short future.
My feelings go out to him, his wife and their three young children.

Re: Heart rendering
Awful, absolutely awful.
Mind you, heart rendering sounds a pretty painful procedure.

Re: Heart rendering
Too many youngish sportsmen getting this, so I googled and it is said (but who knows) that is it 8 times commoner in athletes in contact sports especially suffering head and neck trauma. Article highlights Soccer and American Football but no reference to Boxing.
So there is a need to do more work on this to assess any bias in the limited work done so far. That Carlos Kickaball gets MND will always be headlines whereas when Joe Bloggs gets it, it is not news, but there have been a number of youngish players in the news lately to make one think about a relationship

One of RL’s greats. Not ashamed to admit despite my loathing for all things leeds, this had me choked up.
Gutted for him and his family. always come across a lovely lad.
