With the number of points we have on the board already theres no reason whatsoever for us not to have a go in the cup. I'd make 2 or 3 changes tops, give Jay a start and maybe Gibson, let JBG get some minutes under his belt as well. If we make wholesale changes we'll probably get beat.

A million pounds a place in the PL counts for a lot more with our board and manager than trying to win a trophy. We'll try and get out of it as soon as we can.

Problem with us making wholesale changes is that a lot of our fringe players have barely played for 6 months, it's no wonder we then look so rusty/disjointed.

I'd be extremely surprised if we lost yo Peterborough, we have bodies coming back and players with a point to prove.

A favourable draw in round 4 and by then we could be all but safe and with some momentum to have a real cup push.

With CL starting back up, and those at the top and bottom prioritising the league, we could put some spark into the season and it'll lift the whole club/fans

Sad to see the way some fans dreams have gone. I’d win the FA Cup and go down, I want to win trophy’s I’m not that bothered about the league, it’s all about enjoying days out with my mates.

I think you'd struggle to get near £10M unless you played Man U and somebody else with a massive capacity away. Which would mean we wouldn't win it. But yes there's revenue on top of the prize. But, as an example, we'll barely make a penny on the Peterborough game.

Portsmouth won away at Old Trafford the year they won it.
Wigan tubbed Everton away the year they beat City in the final.

So its possible to win those games if you want to.

But we have a great chance to win it without even playing them!

At least one of each of the following are going out and we have a good home draw:

Wolves Man Utd
Liverpool Everton

Villa, Norwich and Watford will probably throw their games.

Lots of lower league sides will definitely be going through to the next round too.

It's bizarre that people would rather finish a few places higher in the league than win silverware,even the board's attitude is weird,surely a domestic cup win would put BFC on the map,in a way that securing PL status year after year can't.

I don't believe the players don't want to compete for cups,but it seems to be an afterthought by the powers that be.

I always imagine the FA Cup to be this great tradition of English football.

But then when I think about all the recent wins, I couldn't give less of a toss. That's how it would be if we won it. No one would care.
