Upcoming opposition keepers

Post by Quickenthetempo » Sun Dec 22, 2019 7:56 pm

Here's Pickford on the lash at the darts
https://twitter.com/AwayDaysVideos/stat ... 09152?s=09
Then it's butter fingers De Gea

Let's hope we test both of them.

We need to test them with efforts on target,Butland doesn't inspire you with confidence, and you always feel there's a mistake waiting to happen.

As for De Gea he's gone from mr reliable to mr clumsy.

Pickford's also susceptible on crosses,so plenty of balls into the box please,set-pieces could be a great weapon with the right delivery.

Best keeper of my lifetime. And a fantastic leader. Just seems to be behind a shambles of a defence and midfield led by an uninspiring manager.

Still can’t get my head round some Burnley fans booing Tom at Villa Park.

Afraid so - applause from some as well. Just didn’t understand the booing. Was fantastic for us all the time he was with us.

Some people are just full blown bellends, how anyone could boo Heaton is beyond belief ESPECIALLY after he pretty much changed everything last season

I got the feeling the booing during the game by a small minority was more pantomime than anything. At full time he got a great reception as he walked off, as he should do.

The booing was due to the fact he celebrated quite actively when they scored the “goal” which VAR overruled.

I didn’t boo myself by the way 8-)

A true claret who should be treated accordingly

Time to make amends in a few weeks when I hope he gets a rousing reception

It wasn’t. The booing was BEFORE kick off. I thought it was shocking.

Got a terrific reception at the end. The bellends had probably gone by then.

The booing was no doubt to do with some folk thinking that he'd be a Claret forever and some of his comments about playing a 'different way' to help his England career. Whether misconstrued or not.

He may wish that he stayed when he's playing in the Championship next season.

Brilliant for us when he was here though.

Doesn't matter who's in goal. We don't exactly test them by peppering the goal with shots anyway.

So Pickford , De Gea and Heaton are all useless ? 3 ultra high class keepers who may ( hopefully not ) spoil our chances in the next 3 games .
Perhaps a few depressed alcoholics in here thing Pickford is “ Shiite” but he’s actually very good indeed , a bit of a bellend maybe who likes to have a life of sorts but he’s a “ template “ modern keeper

Pretty sad that professional footballers can’t lead a life off the pitch without jealous people taking swipes.

So we give the biggest cheer of the day to an opposition player who turned down a contract to join another club....up to you mate but I’ll be cheering the lads who play for US.

Bit of a strong comment. We’d just given Pope a long term deal... the offer to Tom was basically we want you to give up on England and sit on our bench for a couple of years, then we’ll give you a free into league one...

He is an England international due to Burnley... he does not forget it, nor should we forget he represented England for the way he played for Burnley..

Hopefully not, I want 1 or 2 bigger cheers if possible.

But he will get a generous round of applause off me when he approaches the CFS, and hopefully again as he trudges off looking disappointed at FT.

Heaton will of course get a good cheer then be totally be forgotten as we try and smash Villa. He’s a passionate player who loves to celebrate and hopefully won’t get a chance . Anyone bitter about his departure needs to take their medication and have a long lie down imo .

I will cheer Tom Heatons name on New Years Day, but once the match is underway he is a "Villain" and will be treated as such.

Goes with the territory. They get paid unrealistically large sums of money generated by the media, bound to be scrutinised.
