Spurs to appeal . . . .
Son's red card, and Moanreenio doing his maths again !!!
I think, and hope, that this will be seen as a frivolous appeal with the consequences that carries.

Re: Spurs to appeal . . . .
There shouldn’t really be a need to appeal when it has gone to VAR. VAR get everything right as Dermot says every Monday so you should only be able to appeal decisions not VAR’d

Re: Spurs to appeal . . . .
Good point, well put.
I wasn't aware that it went to VAR. If you can appeal VAR then what is the bloody point of it ?
This is getting beyond a joke, talk about incompetence.

"Son, was dumped on the floor by Rudiger and ended up on his back, feet in the air with one foot resting against Rudiger's stomach, probably feeling a bit miffed he slides his foot about six inches up Rudiger's stomach towards his chest, which causes Rudiger to collapse on the floor in apparent agony, to be honest the force was so neglible I'm surprised he even felt it. That's enough for the VARmen and Son gets a red.
So Son goes for next to nothing, while two players who performed far more violent and dangerous acts stay on the pitch, one not even getting a yellow. I could understand this if it was just a ref acting on the spur of the moment, with only his own eyes and judgement to rely on, but these incidents have been studied in great detail and at leisure, and still they come up with the most ludicrous decisions. What on earth is the point of this farcical shamble, ffs get rid of it. I'd much rather live with refs making the occasional mistake, rather than waiting 3/4 minutes for these clowns to make mistakes as well."

Does Son get a longer ban after they've rejected the appeal.

Son deliberately kicked him in the chest, clear red card for me.

Red is the colour of Christmas, especially for the Son.

3 match ban and then extended to 4 after dodgy appeal.
I’m on the red card side of this, I wouldn’t want kicking under rib cage by a premier keague footballer wearing studs.

Some Spurs fans are already appealing the appointment of the moaning one.
They don't like his defensive football.

Re: Spurs to appeal . . . .
Spurs were lucky to not have been down to 9 men as their keeper should’ve been given a straight red.
Sin kicked out and tried to intentionally hurt a fellow player. If Barnes did that and got rightly sent off and we appealed we know he’d be given at least 1 extra game for a frivolously appeal. Will that happen to Son? I doubt it. Most likely scenario is they will reduce the 3 game ban to only 2 games or maybe just 1 game.

We should appeal our battering from a few weeks ago......"Spurs were far too quick, it's unfair, the goals seemed to be every other minute, Ben Mee had an off day, The ground was too shiny and new"

I think it will all end in tears for Spurs and Mourinho. But only after he's blown a load of money on 30+ year olds and alienated all their best young players, like Sessegnon. So standard Jose really.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 8:11 pmSome Spurs fans are already appealing the appointment of the moaning one.

So if you were a Chelsea fan you could've lived with the appalling ref missing the most blatant penalty of the season?conyoviejo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 3:53 pmQuote

Did he scrape his studs? On the tv footage I saw I don’t think his studs came into contact, more like the side of his boots. The overreaction doesn’t helpLongside4evr wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 9:56 amViolent conduct end of story

Re: Spurs to appeal . . . .
My thoughts when I saw it was that the intent was there, regardless of how much contact. If you try and lamp someone in the chops, but they duck to avoid it, it's still a sending off, even though no contact was made.

Billy Elliott once got sent off for us for a "look of intent".
Re: Spurs to appeal . . . .
Is Son trying to set some sort of new record for "seemingly violent challenges by a really nice bloke thus rescind the cards"?

Re: Spurs to appeal . . . .
Good to hear. The fact he straightened his leg to drag his studs up the guys chest suggests intent and the fact that Moanrinho thinks he was hard done by is the icing on the cake. FWIW, I didn’t think Son’s last red card was warranted either. Btw, I don’t have an axe to grind re Spurs but if I did, I’d use it on Maureen.

Hopefully. If nothing else, it’ll give Maureen something else to moan about and that will, most probably, start the rot.

It must do, otherwise there would be no downside to appealing everything.

Re: Spurs to appeal . . . .
unfortunate considering their next games are Brighton, Norwich and Saints - I'll be hoping for 3 Spurs wins and not having Son makes it harder for them
