Have they given away free tickets for tonight? 19k seems a decent attendance for a Monday night against bottom of the league.

Especially when it’s on TV as well.

I'm sure that I've read somewhere that they offered a load of free tickets to Bury fans for tonight's game.

A noble gesture indeed ! :D

Exactly. I know it's Christmas and they're on a decent run but it seems much larger than normal

Was £10 a ticket, fair play

Last 2 games they've had 12,800 and 11,400 and have only gone over 15,000 once all season, so there is obviously some sort of handout going on

That explains it. They can all crawl back under their stones now Dack is knackered and their season is over ;)

All horses are stabled up for Christmas so they're at a loose end..

They give free tickets to school kids, also looks like Wigan have taken about 3k, if they've sold all top tier and some of the bottom.

Theyve been on a great run, and nearly in the playoffs, however 19k is a big attendance even with discounted tickets

Not bad to say the majority of their fans are staying away until the Venkys leave...

Good result for Wigan. :)
And of course for us. :D
Shame there couldn't have been a last-minute away goal, though... ;)

An entertaining game. Good on Wigan for getting an away point against one of the league’s form teams.

On this showing Rovers are miles away from a top 6 finish with talk of promotion being pure fantasy

I prefer it when they get a little bit ahead of themselves with promotion talk, for it to all end in tears and another mid table finish.

It's the hope that kills you.

Fair play to them offering cheap tickets at a time of year with the most fixtures whilst being the most expensive time of year for people.

They’ll be advertising on the back end of buses in Burnley before you know it....It’s going to be fun sniggering over the fence as they blow up in the new year

I once had a tour around the corrie set and had a photo taken in the rovers return.

Surprisingly very small.

As long as they keep going.
The last thing a Burnley fan needs is to sing a song about a team that does not exist!

Out for a year or so. Done his ACL as feared.
(Lancs Telegraph)
Tony Mowbray "...it'll probably be around this time 2020
when we see him playing again."

I dislike Rovers as much as anyone, but its an awful thing to happen.

Got to feel sorry for the lad Dack, it is an awful thing to happen (not that sure about his night-time habits though) but not for the Woe-vers though.... lets hope this keeps them down where they belong.

Really bad news for Dack since I reckon this transfer window was his opportunity to move on to bigger club, (or definitely in the summer, assuming they weren't promoted). The other bad news for Rovers is that they won't get transfer fee for him any time soon, and probably won't be able to cash in on him for at least a couple of years now. But I think his contract is up in abut 18 months, so they'll either have to offer a significantly injured 27 year old player a new contract, or allow him to walk away.

I'd rather it was Dack than some nobody they dont rely on.

Puts to bed the slight murmurs of a promotion push

Under 16,000 on against Brum, traditionally Boxing Day attracts bigger crowds, but i'm guessing the away following wasn't as large as the egg chasers took.
