Italian Toffees versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Re: Italian Toffees versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Not our worst display by a long way. Mee and Pope were superb. Sadly 2 or 3 just didn’t turn. Though Long looked better than JRod when he came on !

Did anyone notice that ballboy taking ages to return the ball a few times late in the game. Instead of throwing it he just held it out for a player to come and retrieve it.

Over half of our performances - I'd go as far to say as a very much 75% have been **** performances. Jay Rod will never be a starter in the Premier League.

What a load of tosh. Everton are below us in the league, a very winnable game if we made the effort. It's an embedded mindset like that which is now firmly believed by all connected to the club.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 5:06 pmWe were never going to win this game, let's get that straight. We may as well not bother on Saturday then, it is Man Utd we play after all.

The annoyance is Everton aren't that good, but we never tested their defence once,Pickford could have took a deckchair for all he had to deal with.

Everyone on here is a supporter but we are being treated to appalling football. It’s the manager and teams job to play something resembling football. As Brian Clough said (which Dyche should know) if God wanted us to play football in the sky , he’d have put grass there!SussexDon1inIreland wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 5:11 pmWe don’t have as many supporters as the other clubs at this level but some of the fans on here seriously guys get behind the lads

Only people that should be giving their heads a wobble tonight are the manager, players and hierarchy of our great club.

As for the football on display....until we can get more creative players on board, it is what it is.

A propos ballboys. Why are there no ballboys at Turf Moor ? Are they too expensive ?
Re: Italian Toffees versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Awful game (again). We struggle to string passes together. Nobody can defend these dreadful performances. Sean loves it as he grinds his way to another end of season £1M bonus for keeping us up. There comes a point where even all the happy clappers on here must also want to lie down in a darkened room after watching yet another non football 90 mins from us?

Re: Italian Toffees versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Am just as disappointed as some on hear. I listened on Clarets Player - but I would never slag off Dyche who has / is working miracles compared to the budgets of the other clubs and some of the Championship clubs and I would never slag off our players who are let’s face it punching above their weight- was at Turf vs Man City and Vs Palace and fans around were slagging off our players.

You tell'em Taffy on the wing. I bet these so-called supporters were complaining even when Rodriguez hit that pass cunningly disguised as a shot, fifty yards wide and out for a throw-in.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 5:46 pmI stand by it....i assume most on here are Adults?.....but they behave like spoiled brats when we lose.

It doesn't matter if the football is ******* appalling, just keep stumping up the cash and get behind the lads or Taffy on the wing will tell you to **** off.
Re: Italian Toffees versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Time to get behind the lads, not moan and groan because we lost by a miscued header off the post.

Cork seems to be dodging criticism despite being absolutely brutal again today.
Running around and kicking the odd loose ball sadly isn’t a substitute for being so incredibly weak in possession. Any physical intensity from the opposition and he crumbles.

Re: Italian Toffees versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Was there today and there were two sides to the game.. our defence was outstanding, Mee especially. Pope's confidence is coming back with crosses, made some excellent catches.
That said, it was sad to see McNeil get on the ball, then turn around and play it backwards. I love watching Mcneil pick it up and run at them, not sure what the problem is, but that was one of the most disappointing things. Also, our distinct lack of trying to beat a man or move the ball around positively. I can;t recount how many times we won the ball, played it backwards and then hoofed it long, lost it and put ourselves under pressure again.
We just never seem to have that plan B when it isn;t working.
Oh well it's only United next up...

Once again there were no attemps on goal. How can any team expect to win a football match. Can anyone, especially Mr Dyche please explain the tactics.

Re: Italian Toffees versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Very frustrating to watch. The defence are excellent, the strikers are pretty potent when given the opportunities but the central 2 are inept.
They dont pass forward, dont run forward with the ball and quite honestly look very lightweight. They put a shift in but never seem to take a game by the scruff of the neck even for segments of a game, for me it's the most important position on the pitch.
I can't believe we cant get better players than them, I'm not criticising them although I obviously am but I feel if we strengthened and pushed the boat out on this area it would make a massive difference because the back 4 and forward line are superb.
