The Cup Game

Post by Blackrod » Fri Dec 27, 2019 6:23 pm

Is anyone bothering ? What sort of gate can we expect ? I’d go to see some football for a change but think we’ll struggle with a weakened team against Peterborough. Think the Accrington, Lincoln and Burton games have done it for me.

There's at least one going.

Think itll be a big gate, the amount of people harping on about seeing Vydra, Gibson as well as dropping a few of the current first 11.

Maybe Dyche should announce the team now and then to ease the clammer for tickets

I’m going but I’m not sure why I am going. Nothing better to do that Saturday I suppose. May as well go and watch us play poorly and lose. It’s a January tradition now.

It's half a day out and some fresh air.

Maybe a bit of footy thrown in too.

Don't think they will risk either Vydra or Gibson......think they are on the shipping out list, can't risk injuring them.

Well if they're going, they need to go early so we can replace.

Really shocked Gibson hasn't had a snuff, but Vydra has been on the way out 12 months now.

Maybe the way forwatds is to buy young players for CB and CF so if they need to step in for a match or 2 a season they can, but in the meantime they van develop and get used to punting channel bslls, or chasing them... ;-)

Quality match reasdy made players, need to be those going straight into the 11, and improving the squad automatically.
We csnt be spending big cash on good players who will just sit in the bench.

I reckon around 6000. Not going to blame anyone for not turning up since the team has opted out of every cup game Blackburn aside for years.

11,000 were on last season when we beat Barnsley so you’d expect something similar.

I looked on the seating plan and every section was green, meaning virtually every seat was available.

I didn't know whether to sit next to the chairman or Dyche?

I'm going on to watch our new striker... it's taken ten years and 5 minutes to realise we have a replacement for vydra.

I will be there. As I would love to see us take the cup serious. I must be mad though.

Might sit somewhere different though this game. Tend to in the cup. I can take in my new surroundings, check out the view over the bob lord and CFS, when the inevitable happens

Me too. Me and the lad have decided to change seats for the day for a change.. We've moved about 4 rows :D. Think it's just some blind loyalty that is taking me there next week.

I'm looking forward to it. We've been poor, results wise, in the League Cup, without any doubt but we've been unlucky, other than one year, with the draws in the FA Cup. Posted it on another thread last week but four of the last five FA Cup defeats have come at White Hart Lane, Emirates Stadium and the Etihad Stadium twice.
