What to do when 8-0 down at half-time?
What to do when 8-0 down at half-time?

I once played in a game when we were 8-0 down at half time. Perhaps we were thick but it never crossed our minds to not play the second half. We lost 16-0!

The original article had the teams the wrong way round both in terms of league positions and the score line. Apparently loads of complaints but no apology to the team that didnt forfeit. Lol

We played a cup match against a team 4 leagues above us
They played a ringer(one of Evertons youth team )he scored 9 and it finished 17-0
But just like watching my team I have never left early

Re: What to do when 8-0 down at half-time?
When I lived in Cornwall the team I played for had a cup game at home against a semi-pro team after we had, unexpectedly, progressed through three earlier rounds due to favourable draws. We were 13-0 down at half time and the referee, after consulting the managers, told the linesman to put his flag up if there could be any 'reasonable doubt' (i.e. within 5 yards it seemed) during the 2nd half. We must have had 20 'offsides' given in our favour in the second 45 minutes and still managed to concede another 5 goals
However, we did manage to score from the penalty spot so it only finished 1-18

Was it a 2-leg tie? The away goal could be worth something.bfcmik wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 2:41 pmWhen I lived in Cornwall the team I played for had a cup game at home against a semi-pro team after we had, unexpectedly, progressed through three earlier rounds due to favourable draws.
