The game is called football the rule should be a full foot in front of the defenders furthest foot. Most players lean forward to run you shouldn't be punished for your stance.
VAR though is killing the game. Just stick with goal technology IMHO it actually works.

WHy does goal line technology work? Because the FA and FIFA have not devised a way of moving the goalposts, however, I am sure that they will try to find some way of interfering with it so we can all have something else to confuse us fans.
Were we all so fed up of the game as it was that they felt they needed to mess about with it as much as they have in order to achieve the sum total of less than nothing?
