Upgrading to BT Sport on Sky

Post by claptrappers_union » Mon Dec 30, 2019 10:32 pm

So my daughters are enjoying WWE at the moment, and with it moving over to BT, I’ve tried to convince the Mrs that it might be worth upgrading... but according to the website it’s £30 a month. I can’t justify spending that much on a few extra football games and wrestling...

Does it ever get cheaper or do they tend to have any deals later on in the year?

There was a deal with wowcher before Christmas, which was half that price I would just ring them up and see what they offer you.

Way too overpriced. If you can get it for a tenner or less, might be worth it for 6 months.

I have Sky Sports already, I’ve never really felt the desire for subscribing to BT Sport, there might be the odd occasion where there’s been a game that i fancied watching, but it was no big deal.

But the girls like Raw and Smackdown and it’s shame that it’s moving to BT because I enjoy watching it with them.

BT sports is free with BT broadband or it was when I signed up. Find BT Sport much better than sky these days. For what I want it for anyway. Midweek football primarily.

Fair enough. In that case not sure what the alternatives are.

£10 a month with Plusnet but I had to buy a Chromecast so I can cast to tv from my phone.

I got mine through EE if that helps any. I think it's £5 a month.

My phone contract is up actually... if I got a new phone with EE, that’ll get me discounted BT Sport?

Through carphone yes you will get it free for x amount of months then discounted. Unsure if you can only watch on a device though.

Never let me down, in fact the opposite.

Sky, on the other hand, cost themselves £80 monthly, through poor svce.
