If you can highlight the part where he is taking the p1ss out of a disabled person then I’ll listen, until then I’ll stick with the fact that he was taking the p1ss out himself
What happened to Bobby Madley
Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
Sees a disabled person and say ssomething along the lines of.. Look at him, there's a chance I could win the race.... To me that's taking the p1ss out of the guy. Not sure it's a sacking, but he's certainly out of order. What if the guy had been black and he'd posted something along the lines of... Pointless me entering the race, he'll be fast.....

Deli Alli is just a footballer and is not a person of authority, however, I agree with Rileybobs!

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
When I saw the thread bumped up to the top I thought something else had happened with Madley. Have to agree with Ashington's comment on him not being in authority, but also fully agree with his agreement of Rileybob's post.

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
By all accounts far from it. Just portrayed as one in the media like sterling is.
I’ve heard first hand of a story from someone about Dele alli which shows he absolutely isn’t.
That said this was clearly a bit of a stupid mistake. BUT. He’s 23. He’s still a kid. But in a very high profile position. Brings a ton of pressures and expectations none of us will ever comprehend.
Again not defending said snapchat post.

The way he threw the £50 notes at the escort as way of a tip was very charitable.
The laughing from him and the pals watching must just have been an "in joke"
I feel sorry for him, cant be easy being so high profile, a multi millionaire, a well known world sports star and having to pay to get a jump.
You'd think he had women dropping at his feet, poor fella

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
You may have heard a story of him doing something nice. That wouldn't surprise me because pretty much everyone does nice things at times. I've seen plenty enough of Alli to arrive at the conclusion that he is indeed a bell.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 2:40 pmBy all accounts far from it. And 23 years old isn't a kid.

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
It’s ok - he’s apologised
Sorry he’s been told to apologise
He’s sorry he did it and knew straight after he should not have done it....so he says. It’s a pity he did not realise that when he was going through the whole process of videoing someone, typing his comments etc....funny he realised it was wrong just after he had pressed send - so unlucky

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
While you have to feel a degree of sympathy for Madley , he’s clearly a social media whore who acted like a total throbber. Though the Twitter mob rage appears to have hit him full force .
While I doubt he shagged a dog ( you have to picture Keith Lard !) a suspension and final warning would have sufficed you’d think. Though he elicits no sympathy at all for some reason and does sound an oddball

I’ve still not forgiven Madley for his role in Southampton’s equaliser at the Turf in 2018.

If I was him, I'd keep my head down, work my way back up to Premier League level and then in a game that really mattered, throw it.

Leagues One & Two means he’s not in the select group or select group 2 which means he’s outside the list of professional referees.

He'll probably get back in after a year I'd imagine.
I don't remember him being particularly bad or anything so I welcome him back

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
Good news for the moment. Here's hoping he makes it back to the top. Looks as if he has had his stats removed from Rate the ref table or he was so bad he is below the 18th place
Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
Lots of lies about him he says......... & he's claiming to be just 34
Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
A gag about his appearance........he'll appreciate that

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
The Rate the Ref table shows the select group referees and any others who have refereed us in the Premier League this season only. No one has been removed.
Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
I hope he can get back to a good level over the next few seasons. I'm pleased he's been given another chance.

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
Contrast that with footballers who have sounded off about various topics yet are still playing.
A short ban and a written apology should have been sufficient. A complete over reaction to what is really something so bloody trivial especially given it was not aimed at the person but at himself and his own fitness.

Completely agree. What he's had to suffer already is far, far too much, and it continues as he seems to have to make extravagant 'Mea-Culpas' and grovelling, apologetic statements in order to gain entry to the system again.JohnMac wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 3:00 pmContrast that with footballers who have sounded off about various topics yet are still playing.

Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
I don't get it.
1. They sacked him for gross misconduct. They didn't suspend him, they sacked him, so they considered his actions to be worthy of the sack. In those circumstances, I really don't understand why they have brought him back in.
2. Having brought him back in, why on earth are they going to use one of the best referees (their view on him, not mine, given he was in the Select Group) in Leagues 1 and 2? If they are bringing him back in they should surely be giving one of their perceived best referees Premier League games again.
Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
Has nobody from The PFA ever watched The Last Leg??
Re: What happened to Bobby Madley
From what I remember of his refereeing performances, I'd say that's about right.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 5:12 pmLeagues One & Two means he’s not in the select group or select group 2 which means he’s outside the list of professional referees.
