We desperately
Need 3/4 players. RB, CM RM and a striker. Not desperate for a RB but we do need someone younger who has pace. Even if somehow we get back in this game we need players asap because at the moment we are in free fall if we are struggling against a team like villa. I like JBG but he gets injured too much. Cork is too lightweight and we need a different combo up top.

Re: We desperately
With our next 4 games, we're likely to be on 24 points come the middle of February.
I can't see us buying anybody once we get into the bottom 3, unless it's good Championship players who will stay with us next season to get back up.

Re: We desperately
At Oslo airport streaming the second half at the gate. From the sounds of it thank God I missed the first half.
Somebody will come along soon with big clappy hands to advise me that my support is inferior, it's all about league position and points

This was a massive game in the context of things and again we've been outfought. It's not good.

Re: We desperately
Cork: needs to be replaced asap. Lightweight, no passing ability, slows everything down, takes three or four touches to get the ball out from under his feet.
Tarks: needs to leave if he has any hope of developing into a regular England international .
Barnes: I’d sell him. He’s been worked out by the opposition and by referees
Dyche: he’s bought himself as much time he wants or needs with his past achievements. I think he needs to leave before he ruins any chance of getting a bigger job.
We need to play 4-3-3 with McNeil having a free role
Garlick: needs to open the strings and invest. He and the board have like Dyche has bought as much time as they want, but they can’t continue to hide the dry powder.

Re: We desperately
We don't do pass and move which is imperative in football. We pass and stand there.

Re: We desperately
Our biggest problem is that Cork and Westwood are too safe. Never take the ball on the half turn, only ever play it sideways or back.
Too predictable, dreadful football. Players are good enough to do better

Re: We desperately
We were an embarrasment to the Premier League. After that and our last few performances I would expect us to be favourites with Norwich to go down. Those that keep rabbiting on about we are in a better position than last year (including SD) are in cuckoo land. No way will be put a run together like last year. A shrewd manager would have made changes after 30 minutes. How many more minutes do we need to see of Barnes moaning and zero contribution-matched only by Brady. We are just not up to the PL on this standard. Where was the leader on the pitch today. Why get Drinkwater warmed up and then not bring him on after that pathetic midfield showing

Re: We desperately
At least bad results make transfer activity more likely. We may have lost but Villa lost two integral players. That may mean they're out for some time only helping us in the long term.

He told us on the other thread too, I do hope he lets us know when he gets home safely. I wouldn't want to worry.Clarinetclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 2:38 pmThanks for letting us know(needlessly) that you've been on holiday.
Re: We desperately
The board to spend some cash
Players to have genuine competition for place
SD to want to change approach, tactics and style.
All 3 are desperately needed

Re: We desperately
Nope, but most of the level headed honest people can see what's happening at boardroom level and pitch level.
Theres been a distinct lack of planning, and our transfer windows and performances show that.

Well proof will be in the pudding (you love your puds) in the next few weeks of how we want to approach this league from now on.

Re: We desperately
Once again we are incapable of overturning the game when going behind.
We are in need of an injection of pace and players comfortable on the ball.
We've forked out 10M for Brady who has done nothing at all to justify that price tag. Move on, I'd suggest.
I think we need at least two more players (MF and forward). Should be able to do so for about 30 M

When we go behind it's pretty much game over.

Re: We desperately
they didn't spend when we qualified for Europe - the best opportunity in my lifetime to really make a statement - ZERO chance they will spend enough money to upgrade the squad in the way we all see is requiredBelgianclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 4:06 pmOnce again we are incapable of overturning the game when going behind.
