Not allowed from TV but a very competent performance imo
One of our better referees

Utterly dreadful. Allowed Grealish and Luiz to run the game. Fell for all Grealish’s dives, didn’t book him for a ridiculous outburst nor book Luiz for getting in his face 3 times. 2 minutes injury time when the VAR decision in the first half took 4 minutes and there were two goals was also ridiculous.

A - 10
B - 10
C - 15
D - 10

How can anyone say that when what MDwat said was completely bang on.

It’s all about opinions and watching on TV with several replays of tackles etc, imo Grealish only went to ground when he was tackled and could not stay on his feet
Oliver was top class but that is my opinion
Up the Clarets

Utterly astonishing that Grealish wasn't cautioned for dissent.

He was as bad as we were.

2 minutes injury time first half summed him up.
He was walked all over from the first minute.

Grealish was the ref today, Oliver allowed himself to be constantly surrounded by villa players, and accepted Jack's many a tantrum.

Cant deny if Barnes the rant he did 2nd half the yellow would be out.

Least it wasn't all about him today

Assumed the 2 minute added injury time in the first half was his attempt at being kind to us all.

I could be wrong here but I think VAR TIME from the first half is added on at the end of the game.

Little control, the Villa players were in control.
First half: 3 minutes VAR, 2 goal celebrations lasting at least one minute each= 2 minutes added time !!
Second half: 2 injuries ( 3 minutes and 5 minutes), 3 substitutions @ 30 seconds each = 90 seconds minimum, wasting time, including the ball landing on the Villa bench and then being thrown in the opposite direction = 2 minutes minimum = 11.5 minutes minimum.
If Oliver is a top referee how is it that he cannot time a game ?

Timing is same with all refs. At Bournemouth we had two injury stoppages that took up 6 mins 47 secs. There were other stoppages too but only three minutes added.

A great pity the so-called top officials cannot get the basics right....

I enjoyed how he dealt with the time wasting by stopping the game and going to speak to their players therefore wasting more time.
Then letting them continue doing it with no punishment.

Said the same at the time, annoys me when refs help teams to time waste rather than staying where they are and brandishing a yellow card.

Thought Oliver was okay yesterday apart from regularly accepting petulance.
