Some of these Liverpool youngsters could be worth a 6 month loan.

Such a massive journey for them. Do you think we would only have had just over 8k on the Turf if we had drawn Blackburn in the 3rd round?claretblue wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 4:03 pmmore Toffee fans at Anfield (8500) than our attendance yesterday!

Strange first half, high tempo, players passing AND shooting. This isn't football as we know it.

Yep. 20,478 on the last time we played em on the Turf.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 4:49 pmWe would have been pushing towards a full house if we’d have been playing Blackburn
(The Andre Gray peno 1-0 win in 2016, I think, unless I've missed one.)
Would have been something similar.

Re: Today's footie
There were 16,000+ at Ewood for the League Cup too in 2017 and that’s a lesser competition. Over 5,000 of us there that night.
Re: Today's footie
I could have sworn that's exactly what we did yesterday, pass and shoot, scoring four goals in the process.Volvoclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 4:51 pmStrange first half, high tempo, players passing AND shooting. This isn't football as we know it.

Bill Shankly could have been right, there are only two teams on Merseyside, Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.

Not watched a live game on the BBC in a while. They need to invest in some better cameras, rubbish picture compared to sky.

Liverpool will only send kids out to teams that will help them progress, sitting on our bench or learning how to hoof it is exactly the opposite of what the do

Pickford is sneering chav ****. Sneering swaggering arrogant chav ****. Loved the look on his face as he was in mid air and saw it drop into the postage stamp. A vile entity.

Joe Gomez looking back to his best now. Englands best centre back by a mile.

Exactly, dyche saying it's a tough market is January maybe true, but there is always the loan market to use instead & liverpool have some excellent young players, we should look at city's young players to.WazzaClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 5:40 pmJust stick a bid in for williams. Re: Today's footie
Even with Liverpools injury problems I don't think it will affect them at all. Most of these lads look well capable of stepping up and doing a job for the first team.

I will take the right back then Williams!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 5:43 pmWouldn’t be able to sign them both on loan in any case, only one from any one club.

I didn't think Liverpool had a chance of winning that this afternoon when I saw the team sheets but in the end it was fully deserved - some real talent coming through there

you can see the cohesion between their younger teams and the first team, training must be identical in terms of styleClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2020 5:53 pmI didn't think Liverpool had a chance of winning that this afternoon when I saw the team sheets but in the end it was fully deserved - some real talent coming through there
Re: Today's footie
Nice to see youth been given a go, barring McNeil who have we got coming through that will be given a chance in the first team?

It's got to be good for England too, assuming the majority of them qualify to play for England.

Re: Today's footie
Let's be fair about this - they've spent millions and millions and millions on building up their academy. We've been a cat 2 for two and a half years and are still in the process of recovering from a disastrous few years that nearly destroyed ours completely. You can't under any sensible conditions compare what Liverpool are doing to what's happening at our club.

Re: Today's footie
I hope the board are looking at this game.
One club invest plenty of money in fast hungry youngsters and one buys nearly men like Theo Walcott and Schniderlin who their club wanted rid off.
There's only one way forward in modern football.

As for today's football, which is the topic. Good to see the pitch side monitor used and Steve Evans gloves were terrible. Dyche best never wear gloves...........

While in the league which Liverpool will win, they on average play a squad a year older than Everton (source premierleague.com)
Norwich 25y 68d (going down)
Everton 26y 73d
Liverpool 27y 59d (league winners)
Burnley 28y 123d
Palace 29y 153d
Watford 29y 204d
But let's not let facts get in the way of bashing the club.

Recently we have gone bringing experienced players in that can't get in their team.
Someone said on twitter we will sign Walcott in a years time and it frightened me.

Did anyone notice how tatty Peterborough's kit was yesterday,it looked like they had ripped off the League one badges, then sewed the FA Cup badge on the other sleeve,on some of the kits the sponsors name all had letters missing,it must be crap when you can't look smart on your big day out.
Re: Today's footie
Leeds started well at Arsenal, Bamford hit the bar. Leeds pressing high and playing some great football.
