Tbh I'd say it is a tricky situation for sg. I wouldn't expect he would take another club in the prem other than liverpool at this stage. Which could be 3/4 years down the line. Ie Fter klopp, and that's presuming it continues to go well at rangers.
If he wasnt to get the gig then he might look elsewhere I would guess. But probably abroad is my guess.
Hes well liked by my rangers buddys so happy there for the time being

Personally think Big Sam would jump at the chance. Who else would attract him other than us who he hasn't already managed?

That said i still think Dyche is right. IF he can start to be a bit more open with style and signings and more forward thinking with signings. We cant keep adding 1 and 2 bodies every now and again that are both no better or no younger than what we have.

It sounds like additions in january are unlikely. And with the likely loss of Vydra, Hart, Gibson and Drinkwater we will be even weaker. And older!
His style won’t change. He’s had 6 years to forming a squad and style.

Arguably we played better stuff with a squad half his, half left overs from previous managers.

We NEED starting 11 signings. Players that offer something different. Our plan B is plan A in panic mode.

What manager of any real quality would 'jump at the chance' of managing Burnley? Can you name one? I can't think of one.
There are loads who would come to manage a team in the greatest league in the world.

Also just flipping the question a bit....Who would employ Dyche if he was to leave us?

Again tongue in cheek regards the placement of our league on world standards.

Absolute nonsense.

He’s had what 6 years, spent millions to form the squad to play how he wants.
And look what he has achieved in that time, arguably more than any other Burnley Manager in history.

Yes, Harry Potts won the 1st Division and reached an FA Cup Final but it was a more level playing field back then with wage restrictions and owners that controlled the players not vice versa.

The onus was on open free flowing attacking football and having six or seven players marauding forward.

Coach are defence minded nowadays, only those with the unlimited resources can recruit players for attack minded teams.

For twice attempting to do what Dyche did twice in a row (with a fraction of the budget) and failing?

If SD left or got fired who would you realistically want to take over.

I'd like Steven Gerrard, he ticks all the boxes for me for what I'd want in the next manager.

And if we aren't an ideal club for his next step, or cant poach the Rangers manager, we are in bigger trouble than we think.
What trouble do we think we are in?

We wouldn’t go for Gerrard. It would cost too much
Good. I'd rather we appointed Mrs. Dyche.

Hopefully by the time he retires we'll have had another 10 years in the top flight, had a go at winning a cup competition, maybe just the once, and Michael duff will have got Cheltenham up to the championship.
