Team for Peterborough

Peacock Farrell
Lowton, Long, Gibson, Pieters
Brady, Hendrick, goodridge, koiki
Rodriguez, Richardson

Might as well give some of the U23s a game and rest as many of the starting 11 as possible.

Difficult one, in current form, and given our cup form over the last few years I'd be tempted to put out a strong side. We need a win, some confidence and give the fans something to cheer about. Fully expect a much changed side though. I would like to see BPF in goal though.

And I wanted to win the cup. But winning a game would be a start. Winning breeds confidence

I would stick with our strongest 11. Why play players who have no game time together between them? There is a week off before the Chelsea game. A win would bring back some confidence hopefully. We surely can’t be as bad as today against a league one side can we?

Difficult choice stick or twist .On past evidence there will be 2 to 3 changes at most

No point picking the likes of Hart, Drinkwater and Vydra who know full well they've no long term future with us. Brady needs more game time and it's a good chance to give Wood and Jay Rod the chance to hopefully build a partnership.

Id give the full team a run again. Cup run needed

I genuinely don't give a flying **** about this game, Dyche will play a team that will lose I am not paying money or using up some valuable time attending what will be a farce.

My thought's exactly, they owe the fans a performance after that fare, and going out of the cup limply to a League 1 side wouldn't improve the fans mindset,if we can't go out and boss the game at home to a team 2 tiers below us,then questions really do have to be asked of the squad and management, surely the carrot of a cup run should be enough motivation, and we badly need a lift, even if this is a game we're expected to win.

Ticket sales have clearly been awful the club keep emailing me about it and are trying to ram it down everyone's throats on social media

I agree regarding the confidence.

I'd like McNeil to start in the middle and see what he can do. If he puts in a good performance then keep him there.

Virtually giving tickets away at a tenner. Maybe the penny might be dropping....its alright having a contingency plan for if we go down. But once that money runs out they will be begging fans to return, not having our media manager telling fans they have an option

Who cares?

All you need to know is we'll make 9/10 changes, set up in a 4-4-2 and probably lose the game. In Dyche we trust

I must admit I have never seen Richardson play but I hear he’s lively up front with an eye for goal, something we lack upfront at the moment is a Paterson type, just someone willing to run his ass off and press.

I wouldn’t have been against seeing Richardson play today over Barnes, I don’t know if that says much I just want to see something a bit different, an unknown kid burst on the scene would ignite my fire, there is no better sight in football than watching a youngster from the youth team make the step up and flourish. Connolly at Brighton springs to mind

Hart
Lowton
Long
Gibson
Pieters
Lennon
Drinkwater
Hendrick
Brady
Rodriguez
Vydra

Not sure if a couple of these will be available.

BPF

TARKOWSKI. MEE. GIBSON.

LOWTON. DRINKWATER. WESTWOOD. TAYLOR

MCNEIL. VYDRA

WOOD

Possibly try something completely different and see how we fare. Give Drinkwater 90 mins and decide on extending his loan after that?
Add Koiki to the bench and give him some minutes also. We need to try something new with the majorit of our usual starting eleven .

Certainly wouldn’t be starting McNeil. He’s our one spark in the team and if he picked up an injury we’re royally ******.

Stevenson
Newton
Brennan
Ingham
Waldron
Noble
Flynn
Hankin
Fletcher
Collins
James
I give this team a chance to redeem themselves for losing to Wimbledon in the 3rd round of the FA Cup in 1975,they would probably put up more fight that anything Dyche fields from the current squad on Saturday, and some maybe all will be in their 60s and some are even no longer with us .

Peterborough have 3 strikers with 37 goals in the league whatever team we put out we are doomed doomed

Re: Team for Peterborough

Bailey Peacock
Lowton Long Gibson Pieters
Hendrick Westwood McNeil
Rodriguez Wood Brady

Logic behind this to give the back five a run out and a chance for selection. The front six a chance to play in a new and different formation.

Can’t see him being in the squad and getting cup tied if he’s not staying

What I would do:

P-F
Lowton Long Gibson Taylor
Westwood
JBG Hendrick Drinkwater McNeil
Vydra

What I think will happen:

Hart
Lowton Long Gibson Pieters
Brady Hendrick Drinkwater JBG
JRod Vydra

I don't care who plays, I'd just like us to pass the ball to each other and try and build some confidence. As it is, I reckon there will be a crowd of 5K on to watch us lose to another lower league team that will pass us off the pitch

I would not play McNeil. He needs a break. I would play Pope he needs as much game time as poss. I would not play Mee or Tarks. Can’t risk injuries or bookings to our best players. My team would be
Hart
Lowton Gibson Long Pieters
Brady Hendrick DD Richardson
Vydra. JRod

Mays as well put a full U23 side out. Nothing game and a waste of time. The best outcome for us is we lose the game. No replay and no further games. If we lose it gives us some weekends off which our players desperately need as today they looked very tired. Well I presume they were tired? When big club players play bad in a game nowadays it’s always because they are tired so I presume same applies to us?

Hart
Lowton. Tarks & Gibson Pieters
or long and Mee (if we aren’t keeping Gibson)

Jeff cork
Brady

JBG. Jay Rod. Koiki

(Game time for JBG abd jay and Gibson)
Rest of them meh

Id lile to play them all again today but i would go

Pope
Long Dunne Gibson
JBG Hendrick Drinkwater Benson Koiki
Rodriguez Vydra

Try a new system
Try players who we have spent big money on but barely played or performed
Give players like Pope, JBG and Drinkwater who need games / build confidence / play with new systems
Try some young hungry lads who may just need that one chance

Get the under 23’s in the starting line up and we can see if we have any hope.

First team need to be locked away in a training camp for a week.

JBG and Brady must start to build up some much needed fitness and hopefully confidence. JBG looked lively when he's come on but the only reason he didn't start over Brady must be fitness.

Peterborough recently got thumped by Rotherham and the after match comments from Darren Ferguson should be music to the ears of Sean Dyche "They were far too big and powerful for us from back to front, we just couldn't compete, it was men against boys."

The last time I checked Sean Dyche has plenty of big lumps to select from.

Try and play them at football and we will probably get a thumping since their strikers know where the back of the net is.

For those putting Richardson in their team, the lad is only 16 and whilst he certainly knows where the back of the net is and is a great prospect for the future, I would be mighty surprised if he was being considered for a call-up to the 1st team!

Hopefully a few kids in the squad

Be interesting to see if DD starts.

A mixture of first 11 and fringe players.
Rest anyone with a niggle, and dont play anyone one in the immediate plans regards moving us forwards.
We may aswell play a couple of young kids and give them a chance, Peterborough are not very good

He was called up for the Sunderland game so that ends that argument

We’ve just played 3 games in a week, been on TV for all three which heightens the pressure for all the players.

Players are thinking about the future, Hendrick hasn’t signed a new contract, Tarks and Pope want to be playing tournament football and are worrying about selection, Vydra, Gibson and DD are being hawked around for sale. Agents in players ears, rumours of players in and out. Genuine lack of depth to rotate due to injuries. I bet Dyches agent and others have been in his ear about jobs at West Ham and Everton, and if the squad have got wind of that it’ll deflate them.

No wonder we’ve lost some momentum, the squad is knackered. Dyche for me has dropped a bollock by being too rigid with his selection, but in the same breath it’s tough when the pressure is there and you need a result.

We need to ease off, let some players take a mental break, a physical break and sort out one or two contracts in and out.

I think he will have been there for the experience not to play. BFC are keeping him off the radar as much as they can. They’ve been selective who he plays against, and when he plays which scouts are coming. We’ve already fought off bigger clubs and I guess we will continue to do so until he signs his first contract.
