He’s not really progressed as hoped after a few early loans.

Personally would sell Gibson (or Long) for whatever fee we could get, invest that in a first teamer and use Dunne as back up with the one we don't sell.

First few loans showed real progress but he’s stalled somewhat at Sunderland and Fleetwood.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 3:47 pmHe’s not really progressed as hoped after a few early loans.

Heck, sounds like Jimmy has been a very naughty boy.
Must be some line he's crossed for Joey to be so perturbed by it, mind.

You can only report what’s been reported at the time ,seems there’s more to the storyClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 4:06 pmBurnley had said nothing initially but Fleetwood had confirmed we had recalled him so I took that as being accurate.

Re: ARTICLE: Time up for Dunne at Fleetwood
Clearly - knew nothing about that at the time and, in any case, Fleetwood are still suggesting we recalled him. Joey has other ideas though.

Re: ARTICLE: Time up for Dunne at Fleetwood
Joey will give people a second chance. Maybe by crossing that line, he's lost respect in the dressing room. If that's the case, Barton was left with no option.

Re: ARTICLE: Time up for Dunne at Fleetwood
Local media bloke has reported after speaking with Barton: "Fair to say he’s not happy with Dunne & Hunter’s conduct, mentioned that the PFA have been involved with the latter and he’s fortunate he didn’t derail his career."
Hunter went out on loan yesterday so he's got both of them out of the club.

Could you have used the headline 'Time Dunne at Fleetwood'?

What an idiot......we all make mistakes though so lets get him back, back in and around our group and hope he bucks up knowing any more bad decisions like that could cost him a decent shot at a career in the game

Dunne comes back into the fold just when another Under 23 player, Scott Wilson, goes out on loan to Blyth Spartans who are managed by Lee Clark.

Re: ARTICLE: Time up for Dunne at Fleetwood
I did have that first and then I looked how often I'd used Dunne in headlines like that so thought better (or worse) of it
