agree with GWG...on sale at half-time - no WiFi at Turf Moor!!!Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 11:45 amOn sale during the game on Saturday. Who makes this **** up.
Why can’t 1st sale be Friday evening or Sunday morning when no one is attending a match?
It’s always (deliberately) timed to coincide with a Burnley 1st team fixture...can anyone explain the logic or reason for this annoying timing?

The allocation shown (1534) is probably incorrect, as it's exactly the same as our Chelsea allocation.
Now been amended to 3025.

There will always be spare MU fans, who just happen to have Claret points!
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Are the club really trying to upset us fans?
If you don’t go to the Peterborough game you will find it easier to get a ticket for Man U away!
This is complete lunacy!

To be fair they will never sell out at the 6000 mark so we will be fine.
That doesn’t make it any less of a head scratcher though, the club are unbelievably dense at times.
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Don't see why it matters? It's never gonna sell out so what's the problem? Just buy em when you get home Saturday or on Sunday.

We won’t have 3000 season ticket holders with 6000 points so the time they go on sale is irrelevant in this instance.

That’s not the point though...they go on sale at 5:00pm when we kick-off at 3:00pm and now at half-time during lunch time kick-off.
Someone chooses theses sales times and I’d like to know what thought process is behind these baffling sales times!

Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
I agree that it seems strange - although perhaps it is to do with staffing at the club. Can people pop into the ticket office after the match to purchase for example?claretblue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 1:29 pmThat’s not the point though...they go on sale at 5:00pm when we kick-off at 3:00pm and now at half-time during lunch time kick-off.

In any case, my point is that it’s not worth getting your knickers in a twist as the club will know that there aren’t enough people with 6000 points to purchase the full allocation. You don’t have to buy tickets the second they come on sale.

Not sure what advantage you gain by buying them the second they go on sale in this instance? I agree that the timing seems odd but appears to me that practically every post on this forum is someone whinging about one thing or another. It’s a pretty grim read.claretblue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 1:39 pmmy point is that (if you attend a game) you CAN’T buy tickets the second they come on sale!

It wont even be half time when they go on sale
It is baffling though why the times are as they are.

To anyone worried they go on sale at half time tomorrow. And with a low crowd should easily be able to get online and order them. And still have time to come on here and moan about it.

Great news. Going to wait until half time tomorrow to order. Hopefully there's some left by then.
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
I'll be amazed if we sell 3 thousand for this one.
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
I'm guessing we haven't sold too many given the way the club are pushing the tickets on social media/e-mails....

And we used to laugh at Rovers because they couldn't sell out, we are no better.
Can't really blame people for not going. Parking is a nightmare and expensive unless you are prepared to park a 30 minute walk away. If you go on the bus you will be lucky to get back into Burnley by midnight.

With the football being so bad those who have decided not to bother going won't be watching it on tv then either I presumeTop Claret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:19 amAnd we used to laugh at Rovers because they couldn't sell out, we are no better.

You presume wrong, I watch any football on TV, they'll be plenty that would tune into watch Newport v Crewe if it was on the tele box of an evening.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:20 amWith the football being so bad those who have decided not to bother going won't be watching it on tv then either I presume
Then you need to add the Burnley fans with a soft spot for Man United, or the " United are my 2nd team" types.
On a side note they will still be plenty there, I know of 2 going who haven't been on a game this season, means those thousands that usually miss out, can now go to a big game

Good to see the current ticket policy works for everyone then.

Yeah. The last one that I didn't have access to, I got ready to go to the pub and then thought, "Can't be bothered". The last one I did have access to was on but I was reading and just looked up occasionally. That's about where I'm at with us now.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:20 amWith the football being so bad those who have decided not to bother going won't be watching it on tv then either I presume
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Absolutely, never thought proper fans missed out anyway as there was always a way.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 9:09 amGood to see the current ticket policy works for everyone then.
Least now the fringe fans, part timers, premier league fans, young kids, ones that pick games all get the chance to go Old Trafford now.
I kind of hope they all get offered a free beer, scarf and win 3-0 too, it'll make for some good reading on here

Can't believe they have lasted to general sale!

The Love affair with utd is over then.....I'll pick my tickets up for the game today then not been since 1968 has the ground changed much? Never understood the clamour to get there....
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
No terracing any more at the Scoreboard end, apart from that the stadium is exactly the same. Oh, the twix prices have increased too!
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
The novelty of seeing us play at the big grounds has well and truly worn off now. Add in the fact that its January so people are skint, it's on TV and the way we're playing I'm not surprised. We'll sell about 2 thousand I'd guess.

And its midweek which means most would have to finish work early to get there in time, although not a early as usual with it being a later kick off than usual, but which will mean getting home later than usual, meaning later to bed before getting up early (or taking more time off work)
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information

My stance is that there is no way that I will put one penny of my money into that club.

We've paid for the tickets anyway - so the only people out of pocket will be BFC.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 12:14 pmMy stance is that there is no way that I will put one penny of my money into that club.
The cost of the unsold tickets will pay for Brownhills wage that week
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
Won't exactly encourage the club to take the full allocation for future games, like Newcastle in February. Can't really blame them either.

Parking is fine as long as you use park & ride from a tram stopTop Claret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:19 amAnd we used to laugh at Rovers because they couldn't sell out, we are no better.

don't come crying to me when we beat them. Very hard not to put in print what I normally call them!
Re: 2019/20: Manchester United v Burnley – Ticket Information
We've always parked in the multi-storey at Salford Quays without any problems. Plenty of places inside the shopping mall there to get food or drink.
It's around 15 minutes walk to the stadium from there.

Agree with some of the parking comments. Parking is fine for me has I am fit and able.
Last couple of times I have parked in the same spot for free, 35 minutes walk away and minutes from the M60, meeting little traffic.
If you pay for parking it will take you hours to get off the car park and then stood in traffic for hours later.
I can well imagine some of you duck eggs arriving back in Burnley around 4am
