Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
To summarise it for everyone;
Most people wanted a home tie against lower opposition. Although away ties at Carlisle, Tranmere and Blackpool seemed favourable to some.
Others included Oxford, Shrewsbury and Northampton, although there was an interesting aside about a game that was called off at Oxford a long long time ago.
City was expected by at least one, not unsurprisingly with all the doom and gloom on here. Barnsley was another just so we could laugh at the media’s ineptitude.
Others wanted a heads up so they only had to watch the draw and not all the crap that goes on before it.
There you go, we are ball 31 by the way and will be drawn against Millwall.

Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
Didn't see any of the thread, I just deleted it, but we did have a cup tie called off at Oxford back in 1971 in the 3rd round. I was on the coach driving through Banbury when we saw Jimmy Adamson in the middle of the road waving us down to tell us the game was off. The driver was encouraged to hit Adamson if I recall. He wasn't popular. We got hammered 3-0 when it was played.MrTopTier wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 5:52 pmTo summarise it for everyone;

Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
Went to that game with 3 other Clarets,all fellow students with me in London but all in their 3rd year and me just a 1st.year. Didn't realise it had been called off but should have done seeing it was an evening kick off. The lad driving us that night came from Kent but was.an avid Claret called Pat McCardle. Anyone know him or his whereabouts currently. The other two were Dave Price from Accy and the sadly deceased John Cartmel from Burnley.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 5:54 pmDidn't see any of the thread, I just deleted it, but we did have a cup tie called off at Oxford back in 1971 in the 3rd round. Alex Scott doing the draw, I was worried, I’d not seen her on tv for nearly 24 hours.

Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw Thread
Could be a good game. 2 sides who don’t really want to be in the cup playing their second strings should be interesting. Shouldn’t be as one sided as say if we drew City.

Could have been City away, again. Not a bad tie really, winnable and at home. Was really hoping for Shrewsbury/Northampton/Oxford away but never mind.

Whenever I see her, I can't get the picture of Bear Grylls giving her a Rectal Rehydration, out of my head.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 7:46 pmWe do seem to be having her rammed down our throat by the Beeb!! (oh well, suppose it could be worse!!! )

Pretty sure it will be Saturday 25th. No chance of it being on TV.

Not a bad draw, anything's better than City away! Makings of a decent game, neither side will want a replay.

Have Man City been getting a disproportionate amount of home ties in the FA Cup in recent seasons? Seems like it

Last round we knew by Friday. There will be all the shuffling around again I imagine for overseas broadcasters.
