If you offered me a guaranteed five points from those six game, I’d bite your arm off.

Only Leicester and Southampton are in any sort of real form.
Chelsea have lost 3 of their last 4 home games -against West Ham, Bournemouth and Southampton

Five is the best I can see us getting.
It could be less but can't see it being more.
Chelsea away 0
Leicester home 1
Manure away 0
Arsenal home 0
Saints away 1
Bournemouth home 3
It would leave us on 29 points.
I reckon about 2-4 points above the relegation zone.

As things stand right now and with the form of the teams involved I would say drawing against Leicester and Southampton looks unlikely.

Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
I’ll have a pint of what you’re on. Your first 4 points are dreamland the way we are playing. Judging by recent history I’ll give you the point at United. You are expecting us to do that which we have never done in the PL era: beat Arsenal and their referee. Saints away? Just as they are picking up a bit? Bournemouth yes. At best, with luck and by raising our game 100% we might get 6. I’d actually be delighted with 6 points from those games.conyoviejo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 3:23 pmPoints return from these fixtures ,I'm going to be optimistic..

Go on then I’ll play. I will say a maximum of 4 points. Hope we can better that as it’s not looking good regards staying in the Premier currently.

Reality check,1point from a tight match against boremuth, both team marooned in bottom 3

Beat United which sees OGS sacked. Beat Bournemouth and possible draws with the others. Possibly 7-8 points.
Would be extremely happy with that sort of return.

Tried to be objective.
Chelsea (a) 1
Leicester (H) 0
United (a) 0
Arsenal (H) 1
Saints (a) 1
Bournemouth (H) 3
That would get us to the 30 point mark, and give us a fair shot at staying in this league for another season.

A point a game will see us comfortably safe. If we can get six from that run of games I'll be happy, any more it will be a bonus. Any less and the pressure will start building.

Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
Arsenal and Leics at home have to be chances of points imo .Leics are no world beaters and Arsenal have been beyond poor -2-3 points
Chels -Man Utd -Away -1 point I’d be happy with
Soton-Bourn -2-4 points
5-8 points would be a great haul imo. Though I dearly hope we get a CM in ,were literally crying out for a leader /Joey Barton type

Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
A lot of people suggesting we might get a point at Chelsea. Historically yes we haven't done too badly there but our recent form against the big six is not just bad it's embarrasing. I'm now of the mindset that when we play any of the top clubs I'm happy if we can keep it under 4. Same with United, again another fixture that hasn't been too bad for us but at the moment no, I can't really see it. And someone has suggested that Leicester are not world beaters and we could get a point. They don't have to be world beaters to beat us, they just have to be Leicester. And Arsenal will bring their own ref as usual so they can continue their ridiculously lucky streak against us.
Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
5 points at the most
Draws with Leicester and Southampton, win against Bournemouth
Hope to be proved wrong - with more points (not less)

Aye but the difference being West Ham, Bournemouth and Southampton will have all had at least 1 attack and shot on goal during those gamesWinstonswhite wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 3:40 pmOnly Leicester and Southampton are in any sort of real form.
Chelsea have lost 3 of their last 4 home games -against West Ham, Bournemouth and Southampton
Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
Looking back I predicted 8 points from the next 6 matches just before the Chelski match.
We actually have (so far)
Chelsea away 0
Leicester home 3
Manure away 3
Arsenil home 1
Saints away ?
Bournemouth home ?
So far we have 7 points and with 2 games to go..... Both winnable fixtures assuming the mentality of the BFC v Leic, Manure and Arsenil turns up on the day.
Interesting looking back at that thread and seeing what people thought, and how many proved wrong (or right).....
So what about the next 6
Southampton A 1
Bournemouth H 3
Newcastle A 1
Spurs H 0
Man City A 0
Watford H 3
8 points from the next 6 ... I reckon

Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
Hey Boss, I was gloriously wrong with the last lot and I'm so pleased to say it. I thought we might get a point at best so 7 was a great surprise. The next lot starting at Salfampton I have to say that I agree with you point for point. Bit uncertain about both the Saints and Newcastle but a point at each is very do-able. My only uncertainty is, oddly, City, we wouldn't expect anything but they are liable to get turned over by anybody just now so who knows. Anyway as I have aleready said somewhere 5 points against Southampton, Bournemouth and Newcastle will see us with very little to worry about in the last ten games, barring a collapse of biblical proportions. I still think that it might need nearly 40 points this season though to be sure of safety.Bosscat wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 12:42 pmLooking back I predicted 8 points from the next 6 matches just before the Chelski match.

A point a game to the end of the season will give us 44 points. We are currently averaging 1.24
Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
2 wins 3 draws and 8 losses or even or 3 wins 1 draw and nine losses for our remaining 13 is enough to stay up for yet another season in top flight football.

10 more points will see us cement safety I think. 3 wins and a draw. Can try and guess where we’ll get them but with Burnley it’s impossible. We’ll loose to Bournemouth then best City and get a point at Anfield knowing us! Problem is not losing the teams below us (e.g losing to Villa) pushes up the total points needed for survival. Could be 41+ needed if we loose to Bournemouth, Brighton et al.

Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
If it's 41 it would have to be a highly unusual season given that since the 38 game format only 3 teams have gone down with 40 or more. Not saying it's impossible like and it may well be upwards of 40 but 41 is pushing it a bit.thelaughingclaret wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 3:59 pm10 more points will see us cement safety I think. 3 wins and a draw. If you look at the chart on the Magic Numbers thread the likelihood is we'll get about 47 points. Not a precise science but a decent indicator.

Re: Next Six premier league fixtures
Southampton away will be tough, they are playing really good football and look a completely different side to earlier in the season. A point here would be a real bonus.
Man City aside I think we have a chance of something from the other games and my natural caution won't allow me to predict with confidence which game will produce a win.
A total of 7 from the 6 games would be excellent.
