Ah! wondered when the match thread was going to appear, hello Madge ;) ,be a tough test today but it's a funny old game as the saying goes, the lack of expectation might favour us,as the pressure will be off to some extent.

I hope we play Hendrick as an actual 5th in midfield and not a number 10 behind Wood. That's worked brilliantly for us in the past.

Our midfielders are on the pitch and Vydra is our only other fit striker, so guess the only position left to fill the bench is defence.

Still no Vydra,we might as well cash in on him if Leeds are still interested, good to see Koiki make the bench.

Are our midfielders managing a 63% completed pass rate?

I'll go for around that. Anything over 70% is rare.

Afternoon all from what is a shocker of a wet day here in Galway as we are due to have 24 hours of rain , hey only two to go until it stops .
So going for one up front . Need to start on the front foot first goal all so important as always .

if dyche would of trusted kioki to play last week,we may have seen if the lad was up to a start, hopefully he is must have something about him just needs a chance ala Dwight

For me, this shows Sean's greatest weakness. Other managers have teams thrown together by recruitment teams and Football Directors and still manage to get them playing well together. This is why he won't sign anyone interesting.

Sean just sticks with what he knows and who he can trust, unable to take a risk. I suspect we will get hammered today and be one point about the bottom 3.

If both Brady and jbg are injured after their brief cameo's, the writing may be on the wall for these two, sad.

As Villa don't lose against Man City until tomorrow and Bournemouth play Watford, the worse case scenario is we'll be three points above the relation zone.

The same as we were six matches ago.

4th choice really I imagine.
If Taylor gets injured I would think Pieters and Gibson would be ahead of him, and maybe even Mee with Long or Gibson going in at CB. Really does highlight the lack of depth in the squad...

State of that team lol. I’m so convinced of a defeat today that it might just end up being one of those where we pull a magical result out of the hat.

We are more likely to get hammered if we just sit back.we might as well have a go,in essence we've nothing to lose,so why not throw the dice,if we're not going to give Vydra any gametime, when he's 1 of only 2 fit strikers ,then for heaven's sake let the lad go somewhere where he'll get regular football, even if that means he drops down to the Championship,is he good enough for the PL,perhaps not but when he's only getting a matter of a few 10-minute cameo's a season it's hard to judge.

I thought kioki has been pushed forward on the wing and is why he is in the goals, doesn't play lb now

Brady's ooc at the end of this season,we've got a 1 year extension option, but personally i'd cut our losses and let him leave,we can't afford to keep carrying passengers,JBG is contracted till 2021 so it might be harder to shift him on,he's a talent, but if he's in the treatment room more than the pitch he's no use to us,we need to be more ruthless and rid ourselves of the deadwood, yes 2 years ago they made a contribution, but we have to deal with the here and now.

Build up on NSBSN says we are in big relegation trouble. 6 losses in last 8 and 4 tough games starting today make our position much worse than the table looks. Hope they are wrong but sadly I have to agree. We desperately need some new blood and cannot wait until much longer. Having said that players like Gibson and Vydra cannot get a game
