Liverpool at home last season
Now, in fairness I'm a critic of SD and I feel it's all gone stale. With a big rebuilding job to do soon on the squad I'm not sure if hes the man (as we havnt witnessed him do this) so could be a shout to part ways at the end of the season whatever the outcome. But I very much doubt bfc board are that forward thinking/decisive.
Putting this to one side.....I feel now, Leicester on Sunday, is the time we as fans dug deep, whatever your greivence. We did it last season against liverpool at home and although this wasnt quite the turning point in the season. Fir me the players reacted to us giving it a right go.... the atmosphere that night was good and totally behind everyone...for me it felt like we all came together that night, we backed the players and the manager, who I feel is starting to show some mental cracks... come on lads and lasses lets back up the club when they need it. I know its difficult and hard to get enthusiastic about it currently but we have done it before.

Don't think there is a choice. The fans have a big role to play now. Remember Boro at home?
The player's confidence is shot. It would help as well if we signed Brownhill tbh.

Albo - if you think Dyche is no longer up to it, who would you have instead?

I said I'm 'not sure'
I dont think anyone can be sure as hes never in his career rebuilt as squad on the scale it looks like it needs.
That's the context of what I'm saying.
FWIW I dont know who I'd get though...i wouldn't of picked dyche 7 yes ago...look how that one worked out......so there is better people than me to recuit

I see. Thanks.
Has he got premier league experience?
Why are people so confident he can make the step up? Would he want to be involved in a relegation scrap at this stage?
All considerations for those involved in recruitment.

Is he as good as Messi or Ronaldo? I'd not then he won't be much help to us!

It's vastly different from the one that went down in 2015.

Forget Dyche ever being sacked. We can't afford it even it was the way forward. He is part of creating the mess and will have to sort it.

Re: Liverpool at home last season
I know what your saying but that has evolved over a few years...with a few out of contract and the possible departure of our better players, the possible moving on of some dead wood then then the squad could be 6 players less in the summer. That would put even more pressure on recruitment God forbidfidelcastro wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 8:20 pmHe kind of has rebuilt the squad though.

Re: Liverpool at home last season
So, you agree he has rebuilt a squad then?
One that got promoted, qualified for Europe and maintained premier league status?

Hes never to my knowledge replaced 6 players ( which it only might/could be) in 1 or two windows.

I'd actually be more confident of new players coming here if we went down (not that I'd want us to!)
If we need to replace in the summer we will, but we have to face the facts that there are players out there that simply wouldn't want to come here, despite the best hope of supporters.

Not sure you understand what I was getting at.
More importantly we need to get behind what and who we have.
We might as well go down fighting it
Re: Liverpool at home last season
It's upto the players to give it a right go. If we see they're getting early tackles in and show the determination to go all out, we the supporters will sense it and the atmosphere will rise, then we will fully get behind the team. We won't if they just allow other teams to roll us over, by defending very deep, like what's happened for the last couple of months.

I'd call spending the vast sums that Villa and Bournemouth have to create shitty, hopeless teams " a mess".summitclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 8:21 pmForget Dyche ever being sacked. We can't afford it even it was the way forward. He is part of creating the mess and will have to sort it.
We'll survive because of Dyche.

Slightly negative is that approach.
That's what's been going on for a few wks now. We lifted the players in said game last season....even before a ball was kicked the crowd got right behind everyone. We cant just sit back and wait for it.
The players confidence is shot....let's help em out. Ultimately they are the only ones that can change it but we cant just sit/stand there sulking with the attitude of well if you cant get the crowd going then we're not getting you going. Bit childish if you think about it
