That was nothing to do with him was it? That was Sunderland AFC putting a tweet out that they quickly deleted.

I thought that this comment was more controversial! :?

Speaking after his signing Lafferty, 32, said: "I am excited to sign for Sunderland because it is probably the biggest club I have played for in England.

Wasn’t Darlington’s ground nearly that big when he played for them?

Alongside us, Darlington and Norwich it is hard to disagree with that.

(Please note I am not being kind to him to avoid phone calls :D).

The 25,000-seat Darlingtons "Reynolds Arena" was opened in 2003, at a cost of £18 million.

Was staying near there for a couple of days about 18 months ago. It is a very nice stadium currently home to Darlington Mowden Park RFC who get crowds of around 700/1000. Such a waste. It was the last straw that broke the financial back of Darlington FC. Lovely place though and a little better than the Turf in terms of modern quality. It would cost a lot more than 18m to build now.

Didn't he also pretend to be Faustino Asprilla in a radio interview when he claimed that Asprilla was signing for Darlo?

Northern Ireland forward Kyle Lafferty has left Sunderland after completing a short-term deal at the League One side.

The 32-year-old former Burnley, Rangers and Hearts striker joined the Black Cats in January and scored two goals in 11 appearances.

"Everyone at SAFC would like to wish Kyle the best of luck for the future," said the club on Sunday.

Be curious whether he stays in the UK or tries his luck abroad again.
