Adama Traore

I saw this which amused me. I was going to add it on to the existing thread but I can't for some reason.

What they don't say is he has a problem with saliva production so wakes up with a wet pillow

We do lack a proper 1v1 player. Adama would be an instant fan favourite if he played for us, no question.

George Boyd and Jack Cork run further than anyone else but never got the media attention this numpty gets.

I think his agent and Wolves got together so they could have someone's trousers down

At that time (with Boro) he was one of the most unproductive players going. Now at Wolves he runs a lot less, but creates and scores goals.

He’d fairly comfortably be our best attacking player, even better than Dwight.

Not that we’re ever likely to sign someone like him, mind.

What an assist that was today.

Cool, calm and collected after great burst of pace and strength.

For a player like that.

Another player who the experts on here have constantly slagged off as not good enough for us. A million miles ahead of our options on the right hand side, he never seems to lose the ball.

Let's be fair, alot of the previous comments were based on his performances of last season and even when at Middlesbrough, where he would run fast and have zero end product - one goal in 36 games and none in 35 in last two prem seasons. I remember watching him run round in circles - nobody could catch him but nobody needed to as he wasn't going to do anything with it.

This season he has taken his game to another level. He has added end product to go with his speed and strength and that's making him unplayable at times. He'll be worth alot more than the £18m Wolves paid for him.

Some smarter people would say he was highly likely to improve his end product as he gained more experience. Were people stupid enough to write him off based off a PL season with a crap Villa side when he was 18 years old?

By all accounts he was excellent for Boro, their fans loved him. I think he was 19 years old when he won the Poty and fans Poty. I would say 10 assists and 5 goals at Middlesbrough in 1 season as a 19-20 year old is quite good end product.

Do we just watch a player once and completely deem them useless if they don’t perform that single game? Forget his age, rubbish.

This lad has become a hell of a player. Just come on and made another goal for Wolves. West Ham look to be in big trouble though.

Wolves aren't slacking that's for sure, they could yet break into the top 4, win here and they're only 2 points shy of Chelsea, who are inconsistent to put it mildly.

Yet another assist for Traore, he must be a contender for the PL team of the season, and as i type it's 2-0, and West Ham are staring down the barrel big time.

I wonder if Danny Dyer is watching

Amazing what a manager who knows what he’s doing can do for a player.

Losing Nuno would be a greater loss.

What do you expect when they've got Declan Rice playing centre-half, they do have relegation fodder written all over them though.

That stadium's going to be a huge white elephant in the Championship.

I thought Traore was shocking at Boro and not much better last season. This year he’s been a revelation and you can see why bigger clubs are sniffing around him and no he doesn’t smell.

Traore was shocking at Boro. He usually had a good 15 minute spell where his pace caused problems, with practically no end product. If you sat on him for 15 minutes you could forget about him for the rest of the game.
He's certainly improved both his stamina and end product. I'd like to think because of Nunes, but a footballer shouldn't be built like that. If you work out in a gyn, to get muscles the size of his, I don't see how you have time to practice football. Something in the state of Denmark.......

At the age of just 22 in his second season at Boro he scored 5 goals, got 10 assists and won the fans player and young player of the season and the players player of the season awards whist helping them get to the play offs

But you obviously know a more than the Boro fans and players so yep he was shocking

He's played 129 games in England, and scored a total of 10 goals. Hardly prolific. I've already said he's been transformed under Nunes.
To say he's unrecognisable is an understatement. Ben Johnson didn't change as much as Traore. Just find a photo of him from 3 years ago.

He's a winger and and no Burnley winger has managed to either score 5 goals or get 10 assists for us in the last 4 years

He cleaned up at Boro's end of season awards so how can he have been shocking.

Dwight has scored 5 goals in 51 appearances.
Traoare 10 goals in 129 appearances.

I live in the North East and work with Boro fans, They liked him, but none of them saw the Traore on show at Wolves. He obviously had talent, but went missing far too often. He'd have his 15 minute spell, and that was it. Which is probably why Villa thought a swap for Adomah was a good deal.
His main attributes are his strength and his pace. Take a look at the photos and compare him to the before and after of Ben Johnson. It isn't natural.
