Your team v Leicester
Your team v Leicester
A shake up to 4-3-3 with Rodriguez and McNeil given fluid roles behind/alongside Wood. Have been concerned about Tarkowski's form recently so Long would be my choice for this game.
Pope
Bardsley Long Mee Taylor
Westwood Cork Hendrick
Rodriguez Wood McNeil

I think we all know what the team is going to be, as long as Wood and Jay Rod are both fit.

The more we go at them, the more that plays into Vardy's pace on the counter. We will do the usual, try to keep it tight, don't over commit and try and sneak a set piece 1-0 win... that I would snap your hand off if offered at the minute..

I agree. Men behind the ball and grab a goal or two from set-pieces is probably the best tactic.Andreshotboots wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 11:45 amThe more we go at them, the more that plays into Vardy's pace on the counter. This, with Bardsley in. And new signing Jarrod Bowen making his debut at right wing.

I see Racing Post Sport nominate Leicester to win at Burnley at 5/6 their Banker bet of the entire football weekend.
No surprise really given our current form and lack of options.

Re: Your team v Leicester
How i'd like to set the team up if we'd trained, practised and prepared properly for it
-------------------Pope----------------
-------Tarks------Mee------Gibson-----
Jeff----Westwood----Cork--------Taylor
-------Jay-------Wood-------McNeil
As it would be stupid to introduce a massive change in formation and set up out of the blue i'll go for
------------------Pope-----------------
Lowton------Tarks--Mee-----Taylor
Hendrick-Westwood-Cork---McNeil
---------------Jay--Wood------------
Id expect Dyche to play same as above but with Bardsley in for Lowton

Re: Your team v Leicester
No great change of shape or approach, but some subtle changes which might help us be more effective.
---------------Pope
Bardsley Tarks Mee Taylor
Lennon Cork Westy McNeil
---------Rodriguez
----------Wood
Delberately this is Jay plying behind Wood. There should be some fluidity particularly with McNeil on the left, but I'd go for Lennon too because this is the sort of line up which is most likely to play to the strengths Lennon has never really shown at Burnley - Rodriguez will drop deeper and allow runners like Lennon to go beyond him, and is also capable of covering Lennon on the right if Lennon ends up out of position as a result, and Jay also has an ability to switch play quickly that might enable Lennon to break into space more regularly. At any rate, we need a more dynamic threat on the right for this one than Hendrick and Bardsley collectively offer, and Lennon's done OK recently and shown some promising signs.

Both. I wouldn't start ******* about with formations and other than Lennon/Hendrick on the right, there's little else that can be changed, without trialing something.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 4:15 pmIs it your choice, or just what you expect SD to pick?
