Down to 10 men after 7 minutes (Senior straight red). And now losing 1 nil after 19 minutes.

1-0 at half time but I suppose we've done well with 10 men. Sent off for handling the ball on the link although Jensen saved the pen.

This is the moment the red card came out but I've spoken to someone there who said it was clearly our goalkeeper who saved the ball on the line and it is a poor, poor decision.

The dodgy red card aside, I assume we're going to struggle to be quite as competitive as we have been since we've (rightly) sent out all these good players out on loan.

10 vs 11 for such a long period, very few teams could cope with that. Shows the true value of VAR ;)

Not doubting the witness at the game, however I would expect the goal keeper to be saying to the referee "I saved it, you got it wrong" or words to that effect.
The apparent non plussed action of the keeper suggest sadly that the referee got the decision correct.

So you can see more from a still picture than people at the game?

At which point the ref would have quite rightly gone "oh did you? well in that case I take back the red card", let us remain with 11 players and started play with a drop ball for the keeper to claim, as no player has ever lied to a ref before.

Maybe the keeper just realised it is fruitless arguing the decision.

This is going to happen more and more with all these players having gone out. 10 v 11 for almost the entire match and two young lads making their debuts - huge ask.

Looks to me like the keeper is getting ready to face, and save, the penalty.

We're still pretty new to these levels of youth footy, more so since Blake seemed to have buggered stuff up so bad and, destroyed our scouting system.
Think it's a plus several of our young players are wanted by league clubs.
Hopefully, we'll get bigger and stronger at this level and, move onto the next.
It has been apparent that, for instance, Barstewards are still in front of us at youth level at the mo.

Takes time to build something worthwhile.

Don’t want to sound down beat but will only startgetting better if we get a couple through to the first team in that I mean playing or receiving decent money for the people we might sell to other clubs I know Dwight is doing fantastic for us and was fast tracked watched plenty of under 23s football not for me that’s why the lads who have gone out and playing men’s football where it means something have a chance good luck to them all and up the clarets

Perhaps if you read the first line of what was written you would see I wasnt doubting the person at the game.

I have never known a goal keeper in all my years of refereeing to let his mate get sent off when he had made a save.

Hence why I am,assuming that the referee probably got it right.

After being 2 nil up today Forest got beat 3 - 2 by Wigan. That leaves us 2nd to them with the same points but they still have 2 games in hand.
