Accy Clarets to Newcastle - FULLY BOOKED. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
Does anybody know the amount of tickets we got
Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
I'd guess our initial allocation was 1500, then we got another few hundred. The extra allocation clearly wasn't many. I'd say between 1700 and 2000. The club have messed this one up massively, not for the first time....

Sometimes we are run like a division two club off the field.
Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
No, they haven't the based it on followings recently. I got a ticket. I'm sure if someone wanted to get a ticket they would have had the points to do so. If they didn't have the points then they clearly don't go a lot anyway and yes, they missed out, thats the risk you take.

You have spent most of this season telling people our away followings have died off, maybe the club saw your repeated posts and took your expert advice.

Anyone still need to cancel or need seats?

You're very wrong there. We have loads of people who travel with us to every game but don't have 6000/4000 points. At the start of the season the 3 games which stood out for being sell-outs were Spurs, Sheff Utd and Newcastle and the 1st 2 of those we sold out our full allocation.

How can they get tickets then if they sell out to 6k/4k ?Leisure wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 12:43 pmYou're very wrong there. Do you get them for them?
Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
Most games go down to 2000 points, ST holder or even General Sale. All I know is that they manage to travel with us to every game but unfortunately a lot of them won't be at Newcastle!
Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
Yeah, but this one didn't go to 2000 or below. They won't be at Newcastle because they didn't have the correct points for this game. Simple as that.
Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
Correct but that doesn't mean that they don't go away a lot. Many fans under 20 or so won't have 6000/4000 points but they may have hardly missed a game over the past 5 or so seasons! Conversely someone who hasn't attended an away game for 5 years may have 6000 points and may be at Newcastle! Those with less than 4000 points would have had a better chance of getting a ticket if we'd taken the full allocation.

Maybe you could use your influence through the supporters clubs to get the points system updated. Reset every 3 years would be fair and beneficial to the club.Leisure wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 10:28 amCorrect but that doesn't mean that they don't go away a lot. People would have to go to away games to get to the big matches.

For this game the points system would have worked fine if we had taken the full allocation. The problem with making changes to the points system is that whilst a change will benefit some, that will be to the detriment of others. So it's a no win situation for the club.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 10:37 amMaybe you could use your influence through the supporters clubs to get the points system updated. Taking full allocations is a risk for the club losing money though.Leisure wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 11:22 amFor this game the points system would have worked fine if we had taken the full allocation. I know people keep saying we can afford it, but I would rather any spare money went on upgrading facilities.
Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
I certainly wouldn't suggest that the club should knowingly lose money by taking excessive allocations and I can understand them being cautious on taking the full allocation, especially after not selling out at Man Utd. However, after taking and selling out quickly the first 2 allocations of around 2200 tickets at 4000 points and, with there still being 3 weeks to go to the game at that point, I do feel that they have been over-cautious in not taking the final allocation. Newcastle haven't even put that final block of tickets on sale yet to their fans.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 11:58 amTaking full allocations is a risk for the club losing money though.

Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
I just assumed we'd asked for the rest and Newcastle said no because they'd started selling them to home fans. As you say very strange that we haven't taken the rest if we had the chance.Leisure wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 12:31 pmI certainly wouldn't suggest that the club should knowingly lose money by taking excessive allocations and I can understand them being cautious on taking the full allocation, especially after not selling out at Man Utd. Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available. Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
If and its a big if there is a spare match ticket that comes available even on the morning of the game I'm looking for two but would take a adult single with or without transport.
Please email me Double_m_clothing@mail.co.uk and I can give a mobile number via email if needed.

If the club weren't so stupid and took the full allocation you would have filled these seats and more coaches. Gutted it didnt even get to 2000 points with weeks to spare. Ho Hum.
Re: Accy Clarets to Newcastle - Seats available from Accy. . Anybody need to cancel due to not getting tickets?
