With Burnley not playing I made the trip to Grimsby to have a look at our lads. Very impressed with Glennon, some strong tackles too. Not the finished product yet but definitely one to watch closely. Benson wasn't on long enough to make judgement on.

Is the Hessenthaler related to the old Gillingham manager? If I remember correctly we always used to lose against them. Think he was player manager, little midget snappy midfielder.

His son and Jake previously played for Gillingham. Andy Hessenthaler was scouting for us for a while in the Dyche era but then went back into management. Little and snappy sums up Andy Hessenthaler.
Just checked - he’s manager of Dover Athletic.
