Hendrick and westwood
Hendrick and westwood
Just wondering how many times if ever have these two played in centre mid together
As more and more people are noticing the demise of jack Cork after fantastic service I might add ;would these two work well together

Re: Hendrick and westwood
Only if one of them can surge forward & score, dribble or have a ‘first touch’. Won’t hold my breath.
Re: Hendrick and westwood
Everton on the Turf this year when we won and Hendrick scored the winner.
Re: Hendrick and westwood
Cork is the best of our midfield options.

Re: Hendrick and westwood
Sorry but jack cork is too slow for the premiership now
His stats for running might be good but one pace is no good
We need something different in the centre so just maybe we could stop dinking long high balls up top bypassing midfield..
That might possibly make it more interesting to watch

Re: Hendrick and westwood
Probably only a pairing of David Platt (not the one off Corrie for the younger readers) and Steven Gerrard could cover the required distance Between our retreating terrified defence and our static isolated front line And still have the quality to play and score
Re: Hendrick and westwood
Got to disagree with this sudden Jack Cork praise. Slow, weak, and doesn’t have the technical quality to compensate. The fact he remains an unchallenged starter in this side is the biggest fault I can point to in terms of recruitment.

Yep, when he played he is in that group. You're going to end up with a short shortlist if you're going to pick those who, depending on opinion, may be fractionally better, or fractionally worse. The point still stands. Comments like he's slow, weak, lacks technical ability, a first touch etc are more becoming of people who don't appreciate what they are watching.

He’s shot. He is too slow. Too weak. And too predictable. A bit like our entire system.

Re: Hendrick and westwood
Barring the mistake (which actually began with Bardsley passing back to Westwood (?)) instead of sideways, Cork has been head and shoulders above Westwood today.
Re: Hendrick and westwood
Although just heard it was a clear foul and not a mistake by Cork
