MOTD
Watched for the first time in ages last night as It didn’t show Burnley losing. Still the same self satisfied free loading smug gits. Did deem to be the same bias to the big clubs. City had a VAR penalty claim not given aggainst them in the game that looked bang on, no analysis. Later on same scenario for a softer foul against the big club and VAR got it wrong according to Shearer.

Re: MOTD
The City one is not a pen....if it hits your arm unintentionally off your body it’s no pen so correct decision.....
Arsenal should have a pen. If Willian’s one is a pen last week with minimal contact the one for Arsenal is pretty much the same and not given. There’s no consistency still.

Re: MOTD
The challenge by Stones on Zaha would have been a free kick anywhere else and was no different to Kev Long on Alli a couple of seasons ago.
The Wolves penalty was stonewall and difficult to understand how the Ref or his Assistant didn't see it. Or did he bottle it and hope VAR called it for him?

I'll enjoy it tonight. Pity Lineker won't be on.

Be interesting to see if they focus on our display or Leicester's failings.

Re: MOTD
No doubt Mee a bit flat footed for their goal, but looks a foul on Cork.

Brilliant reaction from crowd and players when Westy's winner slammed in.

Re: MOTD
Danny Murphy often gives us credit but tonight suggests we were fortunate to win and didn't play all that well overall.
From the extended highlights, I still feel the 3 points is papering over the cracks and we still need some investment before the window slams shut.

Re: MOTD
What a surprise that in the summery they said 'forget the letter of the law' (to give the divers another penalty), but no mention of the foul on Cork for their goal. Shame the jug eared, crisp eating tosser wasn't there, he would have been suicidal.

100% right - it's an absolute must to get competition in the midfieldFactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 11:24 pmDanny Murphy often gives us credit but tonight suggests we were fortunate to win and didn't play all that well overall.

Difference was that Pope had an outstanding game making at least two saves which would have been goals in most matches and also saving the penalty.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 11:24 pmDanny Murphy often gives us credit but tonight suggests we were fortunate to win and didn't play all that well overall.

First half we looked very nervous and lacking in confidence. Second half was better and confidence really grew after Pope saved the penalty as it lifted the crowd and players. The move for Westwood’s goal was our best of the match.
Hopefully we ca carry a bit more confidence and belief into the upcoming matches.
That said, I agree that we still need reinforcements, not least because we have a number of players out of contract in summer who may need replacing.

Re: MOTD
An absolute nonsense to not mention the foul before their goal and be all over Ben’s handball like a rash...we were not that lucky tbh. I’d go as far as to say we were much less than lucky given the ref was determined to hand them the points. Winning legitimately against 12 men is not lucky.
My biggest bug bear was the ref blowing for non existent fouls on their keeper and yet we get the likes of the Chelsea goal where Tarks is fouled and a goal is given and same again with Cork yesterday. WTF is VAR doing on these things...
Also there seems to be a lot of our moves stopped for offsides and non fouls where we have a very good chance of scoring. I thought the directive was not to be so trigger happy, let the move continue and then let VAR do it’s job. Often we don’t seem to get far enough because either the flag goes up incorrectly or the ref blows incorrectly.

Re: MOTD
Strange, I thought the Cork tackle was a clever hooking of the ball. If you go frame by frame he clips Cork before he can hook the ball free but I'd be furious as a Leicester fan if it was rules out.
Surprised they didn't look at the Mee handball again. Arms by his side but he clearly moves towards the ball...
